Description:
The Montana Decoy Tom Turkey decoy is a very light and portable decoy that will be sure to deliver big results this spring when the turkeys start to gobble. They are fast to set up, usually less than 30 seconds, and are supremely portable and extremely effective! The 2D photo makes for a 3D look printed on a outdoors-durable material that won’t fade in the sunlight. With an easy-twist frame and ground stake set up and take down will last just seconds. It weighs just ounces, but these “Turkeys” will get you pounds of hunting success!

Kendall,
When are you going to have spotting scopes again.
Not exactly sure when (the schedule is a bit chaotic at the moment trying to work in all the new arrivals), but closer to the first of April.
Anyone tried these decoys on those thunder chickens? I won’t be hunting ’em this season with the new baby arrival… but couldn’t pass one up, at camofire prices!
Jeremy-
I have tried one of these yet, but bought one last time they were up. I presume they will work well. I have used several varieties of Tom decoys over the years and all have worked to at least get the big guys within 50 yards.
They work, and you just can’t beat the portability and they get high marks for realistic looks. I can’t get cheap foam decoys for the price on Camofire.
Son of a… I was wanting one of those toms. Guess going in to work early for an emergency screwed me twice :/ oh well maybe next time! Kendall if you can get any solo jake turkey Montana decoys I’d love to snag one.
I’m reading this new return policy and I have a couple questions. It says $6.99 will be deducted from the refund for using “this service”. What exactly is “this service”? I think I’d be paying the return postage so you are charging me $6.99 just to return an item? And if I choose to mail it back to you via USPS you are going to charge me an additional $3 for a total of $9.99? I don’t understand what you are charging these fees for. Please explain.
Montana-
Not to take away from Camofire, but that is Montana Decoy’s old version and you can find them several places on the internet for $12 or so.
@ jolly piper, where did you see the new return policy? I clicked the link on the webpage and didnt see anything in reference to 6.99 fee, did it come in an email on your order?
Shhhh… don’t tell the Turkeys. These decoys will NEVER work if they know this is the old version!!!
@ Sean – go into your account purchase history under your account and view a recent order. You can click “start return” and all of that information I spoke about comes up on the “start return” page. Try it on an order that is 10 days old or less or a current combined order that hasn’t shipped yet. If the 10 days has passed, then the “start return” link won’t be active.
Kendall- I received 2 text messages from GoNudgethis weekend for Alps gear that I didn’t see on the website. One was a daypack the other a backpack. Are these items coming up soon?
@Byron thanks buddy! Maybe I can find a solo Jake that way! I’d prefer the Jake as the toms around my parts hate a solo Jake with a purrrrrrty hen, then come runnin in!
@Jolly Piper- OK i see it now. I would think if they shipped an automatic return label with your order and u used that, it would cost you 6.99. But they don’t , at least i just checked my latest orders and they didn’t come with it. And i would think that if you paid for it yourself no matter what service you used , you wouldn’t get charged 3 dollars. for a restocking fee?
Farley – they both sold out fast as the quantities were small.
Jolly Piper – we just rolled out that feature and I need to re-look at it to be sure it’s not confusing. As we looked at the cost that most guys are paying on returning items, it was around $8-$10 so we figured we could create a flat fee $6.99 option for you to use in order to save a couple of bucks on the return. So when you use this feature from the account history, we’ll deduct $6.99 from your refund rather than you paying $8-$10 or whatever it is to ship the return back to us. It’s supposed to be a printable UPS label which may also save you going to the post office and dealing with them there. We set it up to appear on your account history for 25 days after the order is placed, which we figured would give you 2-10 days in transit and then another 10-15 days to determine if you want to return. Is that not what you’re seeing/understanding? Sounds like an update to the returns policy page is needed. Thanks for pointing that out.
Thanks for clarifying Kendall. There is no mention of a pre-printed label on that first page where you enter your information and there is also nothing that says it is optional to use that method. It reads like a requirements with no benefit for the $6.99.
The $6.99 for a pre-printed label sounds reasonable. I would just update that first page to state that you are getting the label for $6.99 and that it is at the customers discretion. As far as the $3 for going the USPS route. Is that for a USPS label or for dropping a UPS labeled package off at the USPS?
Thanks!
Jolly Piper – Just looked through this on the site and your feedback and you’re spot on, we do need to clarify. It’s not required, just a convenient option. The $3 is a fee that USPS charges us if you drop the UPS labeled package off at your local post office rather than find a UPS drop location. Again, we need to clarify this as well. Thanks for the help and constructive feedback on this new UPS solution we are using.
Damn you camofire!!!!! I promised the girlfriend no more combined orders this month and you go and put up the winter brush. 🙂 Combined order started! She’ll never know!
@montana
right there with ya. good thing she was doing homework when i placed my order.
