Thanks
I am really losing interest in camofire. it seems like the longer i watch it the more I feel like it is just a gimmick to sell over priced equipment. Most of the deals are not even close to good deals on the internet.
Sorry guys but use your brains and keep looking.
Did you have a bad day at work? Have a couple beers and relax
Tanner, I think his wife hacked his account.
Almost every single item I’ve bought on camofire has been doubled checked against Amazon.com and always has come out with the better price and shipping options (sorry, it’s just a cheap skate habit of mine). Here’s just 1 of many examples…Volcano lite camping set with spork and ignitor were sold for around $50 on here and they retail as a set for $90+! I’ve been to Volcano’s HQ in Springville and they even think that deal is ridiculous. Go compare Badlands backpacks anywhere else and show me the better deal. You must’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning or you only buy crap. Just my 2 pennies…
Having bought many things on this site, and you just have to pick and choose your poison. Just like Max I price compare with amazon and a the general web to see if it is worth it. If it isn’t don’t buy it. An example a couple aloft weeks ago I picked up a new blind by ameristep from camo fire for about 70 dollars less than amazon had it. But today I looked at the zombie knife and amazon had it cheaper but 16 bucks. Pick and choose, do some research and make educated purchases. No one is holding a gun to your head you can always take you money elsewhere without making anyone upset.
Thanks for the honest feedback Thomas. We’ll step up our game. So that we can do that better, can you be a little more specific on why you’re bored with it and why you think our deals aren’t worth checking out? You’re welcome to reply here or drop me an email to Kendallcard AT camofire DOT com
I don’t think it was honest feedback. I suspect its some grumpy Internet troll that be hating on you.
I do not think that anything on this site has been over priced at all. I am from canada and have to pay higher shipping and everything i have bought so far has still been a better price than anywhere on the internet or at any of my local hunting stores. I also have questions about the Klymit x-frame pad. Wondering if anyone has used one, how hard it is to sleep in one, and if it leaves enough space between the earth and your back for heat value. Also wondering if there will be anymore coming up anytime soon or another type of sleeping pad.
Trae – regarding the X-frame – if you are a back sleeper, you’ll be stoked at how light and small it packs and will have a fairly good nights sleep. But if you are a side sleeper, this is not your pad, no matter how much you’re looking to count ounces. As you roll to your side, the design has holes in the wrong places for a side sleeper. I know this from experience on a sleepless bivy last year chasing elk. I’m about 80% back sleeper, but learned that night that this pad and I aren’t going to be best of friends. Hope that helps.
As for others, we’re working on it.
