Today’s First Shooter – ALPS EXTREME 2 BACKPACKING TENT
Suggested Retail Price: $239.99
Camofire Price: $115.50 – 52% OFF
Description:
The Extreme is a free standing aluminum pole tent, with a configuration that is extremely strong and sturdy. The 3-pole design gives you more “framework” to combat Mother Nature when she decides to send you a little stronger storm than normal. Assembly is easy with pole clips that quickly snap over the tent poles.
The polyester fly and floor are urethane coated, with factory sealed seams for maximum weatherproofness. A door on each side of the tent makes getting in and out of the tent easy. You also get two large vestibules that you can use for extra gear storage. The vestibules also serve as automatic guy-out points when the weather gets a little nasty.
The fly buckles to the tent, offering a much more secure attachment when compared to elastic cord. Extra large #8 zippers on the doors and vestibules add to the durability. Mesh roof vents increase ventilation and improve star gazing.

Got something to say about the ALPS EXTREME 2 BACKPACKING TENT? Tell the world by commenting below.
For whatever it’s worth, I purchased this tent when it came up last and have been very happy with it so far. I used it on the opener of the Utah bow hunt and was very comfortable. Something that I think a lot of people might not know about this tent is that it is a lot larger than most backpacking tents. I have a brother in law that is 6’9″ and he fits in this tent just fine. It is a bit heavier, but the extra space is worth the additional weight. 10 out of 10.
+2 Bryce. I have the same tent and packed it in only 1.5 miles. Worked well this past weekend.
Good to know……I bought this tent on the last go around as well. I did pull up some reviews from other sites before my purchase and this tent generally pulled up positive reviews throughout. With the price Camofire offered, combined with great reviews seemed like a no-brainer too me.
Any chance of getting the russel zephyr pants in kings mountain shadow? Saw you guys had the jacket awhile ago
Ty – the Mountain Shadow camo is pretty new to Russell offering it so they won’t have anything for us to offer until perhaps late in the year or early next. Sorry my man.
How much would shipping be approx. to Canada for the Spypoint?
Shipping it approx $15 and not sure what GST will be but you can put an item in your cart to check shipping.
Did I miss the tripod?
Yup – only had a few. We’re getting another tripod from Vanguard but it’ll be more spendy – full carbon fiber with a sweet head that is normally sold separately.
Hey Kendall do you know when you will be getting that new tripod
Any sitka in forest coming soon?
Brian – we just had the Kelvin Vest. Aside from that the only things we have are the Traverse and Core bottom base layers and you don’t really “need” camo there. Sorry the Sitka shelf is running very low.
Looks like I missed out on the SPYPOINT IR-10. Any left over? What was the price?
Kyle – $174.99. We sold out of what was posted, but we have more and will repost pronto.
I’m looking for a pair of high end boots for an upcoming elk backpacking hunt. Any chance you’re bringing the Crispi’s back?
Mike – we will be posting the rest of the Crispi inventory as we are down to the last pieces. Look for them to trickle in over this weekend and first of next.
