Kandall,
Do you thnik you will have any sitka vests anytime soon? i know you had some a few months ago, but i was, but didn’t get a chance to purchase one. Thanks.
Does anyone know if the axis 4 tent would be good for a backpack hunt?
Which bag is available, the regular or long bag as described in the features?
jake, are you being sarcastic? if not, then no, it would be a horrible tent for backpacking. alps gear is for car camping (and that’s still a stretch). the quality is very low and the weight is thru the roof. you could put yourself in some dire situations by choosing alps gear for backpacking, let alone the added discomfort of all the extra weight you’d have to carry. the prices on alps are really cheap, and you def. get what you dont pay for with this brand.
While I appreciate your two cents I would kindly disagree with the broad statement you made. Alps tents are not the lightweight Easton Kilo that I own, but are certainly worthy of car camping adventures. Backpacking – too heavy in my book, but not really a danger as I believe they’d hold up in most conditions.
This real tree jacket is a great packable jacket. Used mine last year in a few down poors and it held up great. Heck of a price as well!
Alps make good tents, but for backpacking get the vertex line. Its more exspensive and much lighter. I got myself a cabelas ultralight and its the best tent I ever bought though. my .02 cents

Any more sleeping bags coming up anytime soon? I froze my blueberries off last weekend on what I thought was going to be a hot early archery hunt.
