“all over”? On a Google Shopping search and sorting by “base price” I’m seeing the combo blade version sell for $14.91 from Auto Car Superstore and $15.99 from Scope Stop. On a similar Google Shopping Search for the Compound Razor Edge “I need more gear dot com” offers it for $15.56 but then if you click on the link it’s $20 and they have 3 available. Aside from those, all other prices I see are above the camofire price from there. Do you see otherwise?
Even still, you are correct in that it’s cheaper elsewhere. Better sharpen my pencil next time with a price adjustment to be the lowest on the web (our goal each time).

Kyle – I appreciate that you enjoy our site, but calling me/us a liar is taking the liberty of making many assumptions and please know that I don’t feel offended one bit because I realize that you’re making assumptions beyond what you’ve read or understand of the way we work. But calling someone a liar and assuming they are out to take advantage of one and all without trying to understand where they are coming from is a poor way to start out a conversation in my opinion.
First off, the one thing that you need to understand is that we do everything we can to be honest A to Z top to bottom in everything we do.
Secondly, the assumption that because it’s selling for “X” price on someotherwebsite.com and assuming that is the Manufacturers Retail Price is incorrect. Each and EVERY item built by a hunting company has a retail price that they set as a suggested retail. Many hold to that price, others do not. Rather then spend my days searching high and low across Google (which I do a lot anyway) for the varying prices and then taking a bell curve average of all the prices that an item is currently being sold at, we simply take the manufacturers suggested retail price and list that as the retail price. It’s a standard that is simple to follow, and takes into consideration the value that the manufacturer has placed on an item. Simply put, it’s simple to follow and use and honestly many of the manufacturers we work with ask that we use their retail price to show the value that we are delivering in the Camofire price.
Thirdly, and the point that I conceded in my first reply, we try to ALWAYS be the best deal on the web for each particular item on each particular day. This is our goal, which admittedly I mentioned above and I appreciate you pointing out that we didn’t meet that goal today. By being the lowest price anywhere helps us still compete when a manufacturer allows retailers to sell at whatever price under the sun they want to (or when the do it without said manufacturers’ permission).
So is the retail price always the going price? No. Is the Camofire price always the best price going? Aside from a hiccup here and there, we believe it is and that in my book is worth checking out the site each and every day.

And customer loyalty brings me right back here to support a company and a sales team that has gone above and beyond many times over to ensure that I had a quality product at a better price than I found else where, and they delivered it where I needed it.
Few dollars different on price? Yeah, and I’ll still spend the difference here so that deals like the Zeiss binos today come around again when I need them.
In case you haven’t realized it yet, most retailers are trying keep up with Camofire…not the other way around.

I purchased a Kershaw knife, some snow camo, and just yesterday a pair of Zeiss Binos. I work for a wildlife agency that has me out in the field over 50% of the time and I need rugged gear for that purpose. While shopping around in MT I could not find a pair of the same Zeiss Binos for less than $1,000 and the majority of the time they were retailing for 1,200. I am not a mathematician, but I know a damn good deal when I see one and that is why I jumped at the price for such a reputable pair of field glasses. Thanks Camofire.com for the reduced price for the avid outdoorsman!

I don’t know about everything said in this thread today, but I can say that I personally would prefer to see a price instead of a % off MSRP. I am not sure if that is what you are kind of getting at Kyle. I don’t really mind the % off MSRP in the emails each day. It would just make it easier to figure out ahead of time if it was a price.
That being said, I still know I am getting a great deal on nearly everything on here, with good customer service. I have seen prices lower elsewhere maybe 5 times in the last 6 months. Usually, the main reason I look elsewhere is to read reviews of the product.
I can’t wait to get the full array of Core4Element gear from last week!

I know anytime I purchase anything on camofire, I google the item first. Usually just to see other reviews and other peoples opinions of the product. “Occasionally” I will find a slightly better price from some obscure website. Keeping that in mind I have always bought from Camofire solely due to the customer service provided by Kendall and his crew. Where else can you converse with the head of a company about a product pretty much on a daily basis. Never met these people and probably never will, but they certainly seem about as honest as you can get. I will pay a few dollars extra on that rare occurrence. I am not sure what you expect them to do about the price. They do not make the products, they do not set the msrp. They just find great deals on quality products and pass them along on this site.

So your solution is for them to search the web and then set the price based on the lowest price they find? If you are going to complain about something, have a solution to the thing you are complaining about.
The only constant with all of these prices is the MSRP, that is the price that everyone starts at.

Kyle – You’ve contradicted yourself. You originally said “your lieing to all your avid followers by telling them its 61% off. Its selling for average about 20 bucks. 61% off that is a lot less than 16 bucks. Dont lie to us. Tell us its on sale for 20 percent off and its believable.” and then you say that “it has nothing to do with firecamos price or the msrp” when the % off is completely based on the MSRP.
Again I will say, unless you want to be our new intern and spend your entire day researching all the current prices of each item we offer, then running a statistical analysis to determine the median price for us to compare the Camofire to instead of the MSRP set by the manufacturer, then we’ll just stick to the MSRP price to compare with and everyone can determine in their own way if it’s a good deal or not. If it’s a good deal, consider pulling the trigger. If it’s not, move along and check back later. Pretty simple really, everyone’s happy. It’s actually laughable that this has gone on so much. Do you go on SteepandCheap.com, The Clymb, REI-Outlet, WhiskeyMilitia.com, Woot, etc and complain about them also using the same MSRP prices and advertising methods? We didn’t invent the wheel, just trying to show value from an MRSP, bring the best prices we can and as many good deals as the day allows.

I joined camofire yesterday thanks to a friend’s email. I bought the Zeiss binocs and am looking forward to using them. When I looked at the deal I saw 3 things: 1) Camofire price, 2) % off, and 3) Retail price. Not sure what the issue is here, but I enjoy getting a deal and I really like the convenience of email and text alerts. That said, this site is for me and the reviews on Kendall & Co’s honesty and customer service speak volumes. I (like many others) don’t have time to research for hours to save $10 or so because I have a life. Kyle, maybe you should consider getting one too. If you don’t like the format, find a site that suits you better. That’s the beauty of the internet; there’s something for everyone.

Kendall, just got the new Core4 Element jacket and love it. Especially like the wrist cuff upgrade to help seal out the cold morning air and I’m sure there are others I haven’t discovered yet. One thing is for sure Kendall and all the crew are as honest as they come and go out of their way to take care of their customers, a very rare commodity these days.

Well, there’s always a chance for any product to find it’s way to Camofire, but if I were a betting man, this would not be worth betting on. Sorry to bear bad news. I should look through these Zeiss a bit more closely and see how they compare to the Razor HD. For the price, if the Zeiss Conquest 10×40 is as good or near to it, that would be a good option.

Wow, just logged on to thank Kendall and crew for the awesome element pants and coat I got a few days ago and stumbled onto this page. Don’t worry about defending yourself to ppl like this. Theres always going to be some “worlds out to get me” type of ppl out there who insist on dragging as many ppl into that mentality as they can. The ppl who understand the service you provide to the hunting community obviously has your back. Camofire provides a great product at a great price and with AMAZING customer service. This combination is very rare, especially on the internet. USUALLY camofire is cheaper than anywhere else. If ppl want to spend an hour looking around to save 10 dollars buying from some website that doesn’t care for their customers as you do, I wouldn’t even sweat it. In my experience, these types of customers are usually more hassle than they’re worth anyhow. Just my 2¢, but I wanted to show my support
