Description:
When it comes to well built solid monopods, the Vortex Escape Monopod is top of the list. Starting out at a compact 24 inches and expanding to just over six feet, this anodized aluminum monopod is rich with features. The very smooth and easy adjusting ball head on a panning axis will make spotting scope work a breeze yet will be just as effective for video and photography as you pan with the movement of an animal.
Throw on the included “V” yoke when it’s time to make the shot and you can comfortably pan until you get the right shot. The open channel quick release mountain plate is unique but what it does is make it possible to adjust the fore/aft position of your optics so that the weight is perfectly positioned over the monopod. 5 sections move by their “flip” up releases and a rubber tip on the bottom make for solid footing no matter where you take the Escape.

The same kelvin vest was on here Jan 24th and retail was 149.00 and you sold it for 40 percent off.Now the retail is 189.00 and you say it’s 47 percent but are actually charging more.cabelas has it for the same price with free shipping.I check this Site everyday but now I’m starting to rethink. What’s up?

Reid – you bring up a good point. The reason that the price increased is because between January and early this summer Sitka increased their price across the board on most every item they sell. As such, the price of a Kelvin vest went up to $189 and our cost went up as well. I do know that we bought all the vests that Sitka had to offer so I’m not sure regarding Cabelas and how/why they are selling at $100. When we priced these out Cabelas didn’t have them at that price so I’ll have to relook at it for our next run of these to be sure we are lower. Sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused you but I hope that at least explains the difference between the prices from 8 months ago and today.

The other thing that confused me on the vest is the %……..it says 50% off on the daily listing above. Noticed it after I pulled the trigger. Still a good deal…..can’t wait to try it out.

I see only medium in forest available for $120 at cabelas. Free shipping if you use your cabelas visa otherwise it’s five flat right now. retail $189. I’d say camofire got it right on retail list price, more size selection and beat out cabelas on sale price!

Just checked the Cabelas website, best price I could find was $119 which appeared to be last years vest. The new version was listed as $189 and said they had limited quantities. Just sayin
