Please clarify the pack size. The description states that it is 1000 cu.in., but the pull down to purchase the pack lists the size as 1500 cu. in. Thank you.

Just checked manufactures website. They have it listed at 1000 cu. in. Check it out at timberhawk.com. $135 on the site. Camofire has a hell of a deal today.

Thank you T3. It appears to me that Timber Hawk has changed their Gut Hook pack size. Other online dealers list the pack at 1500 cu. in. As you know, some of the deals on Camofire are on discontinued products, which allows them to offer great deals – just curious.

Sorry guys, we had it listed as 1500 for the drop down but the description at 1000 is correct. The former model was 1500 (two years ago) and we updated the description and features but missed the drop down. Sorry for the confusion. This pack is the current pack that they offer.

I have used this pack for three years mainly bowhunting elk, but also hiking/fishing. I probably have 200 miles on it and I love it. It is the best option for a day pack in my opinion. Quick access to at least 5 pockets for calls, scent, rangefinder, wind detector etc. The bino mount system is awesome.
My only regret is that I was torn between thawk and badlands for large pack. Bought the 2200 last week so please don’t tell me you’ll have the thawk kill shot discounted like this! If so I may get sick – or have three packs.
Can’t go wrong with this pack for that price! Hell of a deal.

Brad – we only offer one method of shipping to Canada – via the postal service and a 2nd party service that we use to get it to the border and across. UPS is wicked expensive and standard postal service doesn’t give us tracking door to door. Sorry if this is an inconvenience for you, but it’s what we feel makes sense to know the product gets delivered and in a quick time frame.

brad – I too live in Canada (middle of nowhere central BC), but don’t be too concerned about pricing or timing since it includes taxes and duty (if applicable), and my orders always seem to get to me within a week. Kendall and crew went to a lot of hard work to get this system set up last year and it works pretty slick (i.e., no added “Customs Processing Fee” at the border since that is all prepaid).
Love my Gut Hook pack – bought it a couple of years ago on CamoFire, and use it all the time. I can pack everything in there I need for a long day trip, and I don’t even feel it on my back.

I received this in the mail yesterday, but was bummed that it did not come with the hawkeye bino system. Website says the guthook comes with the system, any thoughts???

Geoff – right near the end of the listing period we received a call from Timber Hawk stating that the Hawkeye bino system is no longer part of the Gut Hook as it was two years ago when we last sold it. We’ll gladly take the pack back for a full refund because of this omission on our part. We appologize for our error. If you’d like to send the pack pack, please contact our customer service.

Just got the gut hook. Looks great but when I’ve researched it, thought it had a bladder,or at least a pocket for one. Marketed as a warm weather pa k and they took that out? Doesn’t make sense to me.
