Description:
When the winds, rain and snow descend upon you that’s not time to end your hunt but time to pull out the Rubline Jacket. Doing so you’ll combine a soft and quite tricot outer with the power of Goretex Paclite, a waterproof breathable layer that will keep you dry, warm and in the hunt. You’ll blend into that big buck’s territory with perfectly-detailed and lightweight packable jacket in the popular Realtree camouflage patterns.
Because it’s built with GORE-TEX Paclite it’s very lightweight, enough so that you’ll carry it in your pack each time you hunt. In fact, it packs into it’s own pocket for easy storage. The shell has a little stretch to it and it sized appropriately. Two hand pockets, adjustable cuffs, draw cord bottom cuff and an adjustable hood round out the features. When other guys have gone home you’ll stay dry and stay in the field for that big buck thanks to the Rubline Jacket.

Are these quiet enough for bowhunting? Not sure if I should buy these or wait for some sitka gear to hopefully be posted. Thanks, Eric

Eric – great question. I personally traded out my Sitka raingear for the Rubline. It was quieter out of the box (in my opinion) and after washing it a couple of times and using it a couple of times its softer and quieter still. We’ve sold a lot of this Rubline series with very little complaint. That said, we have had a couple of guys send them back saying they were too loud. It’s nearly impossible to get Goretex fabric, stay lightweight as the Rubline and get as quiet as cotton.

Anyone have weights for this stuff? Looking for ULTRAlight rain gear. Is this superlight? What are the weight specifics?

Ok does the sitka 90 gear keep you pretty dry? I know its not a raingear but I heard that you still stay dry? I really want to buy the team realtree gear but this will be my first year bowhunting and I want to be as quiet as possible. Thanks, Eric

Dave – I’ll put this stuff on the scale tomorrow at the warehouse and get the weight posted in the features. I’d say around 1 pound if I had to guess. The Full Function pant is heavier than the regular Rubline Pant (the pant is the extra item today)

Kendall – Also interested in weight specs. The info says Goretex packlight and lightweight, but just want to make sure. Today’s my birthday, and you just happened to put the one item that I was looking to obtain before hunting season on the website… how lucky am I? As for all the Sitka talk, I’ll echo Kendall’s comments. I’ve never personally owned the Sitka gear, but I’ve had it in hand and I can honestly say that I would never purchase their raingear. (I’m a Sitka fanatic, so that was hard to say) The 90% will keep a light rain out, but anything more than that and it’ll eventually soak through. I just don’t think you can beat a true Goretex fabric for a downpour.

Well got a delima here, can’t figure out what size. I am 6’3 and weigh 230# I wear a 38 in pants and xl shirt and jacket. Should I buy the large or xl pants and should I buy the xl or xxl jacket? Just wondering because you are putting this stuff over what you are already wearing.

The leg length fits me in the XL and I’m a 34″ inseam. But no, there aren’t any LT or XLT.

I bought the pants on Friday and used them already during Saturday’s monsoon while out scouting. I found a huge plus why Realtree made them as baggy as they are. As the rain was pooring down, I just sat down and pulled the pants up over my hiking boots. Had they not been so baggy I would have had to take the boots off, getting them and my socks soaked in the process, defeating the purpose of having rain gear. I think RealTree has a great design with these pants.

Josh – thanks for the feedback on the jacket. We think the world of this gear and know it’ll keep you dry and warm when other guys are headed for their trucks and homes. Good luck this hunting season!
