Hi, was wondering about sizing. I noticed that there was not a size for 36-38 – i guess it is between size L and XL???). I typically wear a size 36, I’m 6 feet 190lbs, but I would like to get this bib large enough to wear additional layers. I’m just wondering if size XL 38-40 would be too big for me?? Any help is appreciated…

Kevin- I wear a 36-37 and have the XL, it’s a good fit, loose enough to layer but not oversized to the point you are swimming in it. The Goretex doesn’t “stretch”, so if the large is snug, it won’t get any better. These are called bibs, but they are really a suspendered pants. I love mine in bad weather. 2 cents!

I have short, thick and wide feet. Crispi does not seem to offer a wide boot. Do their sizes run wide? Do they open wide when unlaced to provide plenty of room to put them on?

Cliff for what it’s worth, I have tried several pair of the Crispi’s and I believe they are best suited for people with a narrow heel and an average sized foot. I have a narrow heel and foot, and my boots fit my heel true to size while allowing ample room in the fore foot. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I e-mail Crispi and they quickly replied that their boots would not fit me at this time but they were bring out some wide sizes in June.

This looks like a really great deal. Does anyone know if they are loud? Also, does CamoFire accept returns? This will be my first purchase from this site so sorry for the rookie question.
Thanks!

jmo – sorry for a late reply but this outfit is quiet and what we’ve heard from customers is that it gets more quiet with washing and use. I think you’ll like them. – welcome to the world that is Camofire.com

I can tell you from experience these are deadly quiet, keep out the wind and rain and are ccomfortable enough to wear all day!

Kevin – I am a 34 waist and wore the XL the last two years. Yes, they are big on me. This allows for multiple layers underneath on cold days in the Midwest. They are very nice. Good quality.
JMO – the softshell material is quiet. I bowhunt whitetails with the bibs and jacket. When temps are in the teens and twenties, the Gore-Tex makes some noise.

Im also wondering about which size I should get. I’m 6’1, 175 lbs and typically wear a 33-34 waist size pant. I noticed the large only comes in a 32″ mid seam which seems like it might be a little short? Would you err on the short side in my situation and go with a large or on the roomy side and run the risk of “swimming” in the bibs with an XL? Any feedback is appreciated.

@Shane and tam9492– The Crispi Yukon’s are great boots. I have Danner Pronghorns 400 gram boots. Crispi does not classify a specific gram i.e. 400,800. Having tried them on they are probably between 200-400 grams (400 is generous)

Do they make a boot with more insulation?

According to a response from Crispi, the Yukon doesn’t have much insulation. The Wild is considered their insulated hunting boot.

Shane – I would agree with this. The Yukon is a great boot, just not a cold weather boot. Spring, summer, fall (with a warm merino wool sock) it’s a rockstar of a boot.

Brandon – I’m 6’1″ 170 lb 34″ waist and wear the XL. I swim in them, but it allows plenty of room for layering. As I remember, the L was good in the waist, but too short for me. These aren’t the best fit for tall thin people.

Dan – good feedback, thanks. You’re right, tall skinny guys may not be the best fit for these bibs. I’m a 34″ inseam, 35-36″ waist and the XL is a big in the waist, ok in the length and the L is pretty good if not a little snug in the waist but not long enough in the length.

Any guess on the weight of Jacket & Pants?

Scott – they are similar to the Sitka 90% – light fleece backing. Heavier than a shell, lighter than an insulated jacket. Good middle of the road if you ask me.

does any one know how the jackets fit? I usually wear a medium but sitka jactets seem to run small on me for example.

Mitch – the jackets run pretty true to size with room to move/layer. It’s not a super athletic fit like Sitka, but not oversized either.

Thanks Kendall,
I tried to order the jacket but recieved a message above the page that said that I had too many items in my cart and that I needed to share the deals. Weird since I only had one jacket and one set of bibs. I ended up just ordering the bibs and contacting customer service since I really do want the jacket with it and it seems like this must be a glitch.
Just found out about camofire last night and was excited to see today you had something that I needed!
