Description:
Do you want the best hunting camouflage gear on the market? Then the Team Realtree Big Game Insulated Camo GORE-TEX® Soft Shell Bib is the one for you. The fabric has some stretch to it for a forgiving fit and feel while in motion. Made using exclusive GORE-TEX patented soft shell technology that is totally waterproof and seamed sealed. Unlike others on the market that claim to be waterproof and do not tape their seams, our camo hunting clothing has a proprietary and patented method to seam seal the fleece inside to prevent leakage.
This product is the finest that Diablo Outdoors and Realtree has ever made. Like the jacket, the pants get softer with each washing and thus is extremely durable and quiet. This GORE-TEX hunting pant/bib features a comfortable fit with waterproof zippers. Chase big game prepared for anything mother nature will throw at you.

Nowhere does it mention how breathable this product is. Is it extemely, minimally, is it implied being it is goretex and soft shell?
How tough are these pants? Can they hold up to many seasons of pushing bush? Or just tree stand durable?
And is the jacket just a shell or insulated, and how much insul is there?

Hey Brad I have these and used them this weekend at 11,000 ft in a straight up blizzard. They are the best pants and jacket you can buy for the money. They are comparable in quality to the Sitka Coldfront system which retails for around $1200 for both. They are quite breathable, quiet and durable. They do have a soft finish on the outside to make them more quiet so I am not sure how they would do in thorns as I use them out west and we do not have a ton of that.
I would call both the pants and jacket insulated shells. They are a shell with a thin layer of fleece attached to the inside of the jacket. They would not do well as a stand alone jacket and pants if used in very cold weather. I believe they are designed to be used like mountaineering style clothing as a layering system.
This weekend I was in subfreezing temps with 40 mph winds and I used mine with baselayers and then another layer (sitka 90%) underneath. The pants and jacket completly blocked the wind and kept me bone dry. I was toasty warm in these conditions but I did layer underneath.
This was for active hiking and then glassing. They breathed well while climbing but then kept me toasty when sitting. If i were to use these in a stand I would use a down jacket and down pants underneath and would have plenty of warmth (similar to the new Sitka incinerator setup).
Hope this helps, Brian

yeah I kind of wish I would have bought an XL in stead of my regular L. I use these for extremely cold weather and wouldnt mind a little extra room.

Brain, Hey thanks for the detailed review would you mind telling what your dimensions are so I can figure out what size to order when these come around. i am 6’0″ 220 lbs. I want to make sure I can fit a layer of capliene and light fleece under these but not be swimming in them. The Diablo outdoors website is underconstruction so I cant find a size chart even then clothing is usually subjective. Any more input than above would be great.

What a wonderful write-up! I have no clue how you were able to say this post..it’d take me long hours. Well worth it though, I’d assume. Have you considered selling advertising space on your website?
