VIDEO REVIEW:
Description:
All trail cameras are not created equal and with that in mind SpyPoint created the Pro-X Plus which is one of the most robust all inclusive trail cameras on the market. Delivering 12.0 megapixels in color images by day and black and white images by night in addition to a 640×480 video recording with sound, the Pro-X Plus stands far above the competition.
Want immediate review of your images while in the field? Thanks to the 3″ color built in viewing screen you can immediately review images in the field, see what is going on at your camera location and make adjustments to your set up rather than just swapping out the SD card like most compact cameras. The SD card capacity is 32 GB and what we’ve found on similar SpyPoint cameras is that the extended battery life is the real deal – it may last you months on just one set of AA batteries.
On top of that the 5×7 compact size running on won’t weight you down as you head out to put up a few trail cameras, no matter how far you have to hike in order to do so. The SpyPoint Pro-X Plus is a hunter’s best edge for scouting up your next trophy buck.

Jim. I bought this one off of camofire a couple of weeks ago. Demo’d against the back deck before I took it to the hill yesterday. I like the camera. It took good video and excellent day time pictures. The pictures at night were quiet a bit blury. I adjusted the distance setting a few times and got them better but not perfect, you could make out what I was, but if a fast mover came through I dont think you’ll get to count points. I was impressed on how easy it was to set up. I didnt have any trouble with getting the SD Card to work. I have only one concern, battery life. Lots of reviews I read had the battery life up to 3 months. We’ll see if thats true. Alot of people I chatted with, stated they had cameras that would go a whole year without changing batteries. I believe with the lithium cell that spypoint sells this unit could go that long. Not to long after buying the Pro-X Kendall had the Spypoint Tiny on camofire, I picked up two of those. The trigger speeds on the Tiny camera was just as good if not better, night pictures were actually a little better than Pro-X. Video was good too. I think these are better “trail” cameras as they will go off quicker. When I put these under the deck I actually missed pictures with the Pro-X that the TIny picked up. So here is the run down, I would get the Tiny for trails under 30-40 feet, and the Tiny for the price. Pro-X definetly for the video-impressed with the video. Pro-X for trails that go into parks, because the camera will reset faster. Pro-X for long distance pictures, 45-<70 feet. Any questions shoot away.

Jim – Sorry to have missed replying but it looks like between Greg and Tim you got a straight up answer. I firmly believe with electronics, trail cameras included, you get what you pay for. This camera is the cats meow for sure, just like those guys said in the video. I’ve not used this exact model, but the IR-8 and IR-5 I’ve used both and they are fantastic, including battery life…heck, especially battery life. I’m adding a Pro-X to my collection as well as the Tiny for a couple of farther to get to places. I’ve never been let down by the SpyPoint camera and their newer line up coming out this year looks to be getting better and better.

Jim-I own several Spypoints purchased off of Camofire, including this one. All are solid performers and I am happy with the video and picture quality. Spypoints can be a little fussy about writing to off-brand memory cards, but that’s the only problem I had. Check “chasinggame.com” for recent and unbiased reviews. 2 cents.

Rocky – we do have some left. Watch for them in mid March, but if you do need one sooner than that, please give Greg a call and we’ll see about helping you out.
