I grabbed a Celsius jacket from you guys a couple months ago. It’s a snug fit but not restrictive, which I like. But I know I am going to have to layer very smart underneath it if I’m to stay warm sitting on the ground in the early mornings of Montana rifle season in October and November. I know I need a real warm base layer and then all I’ll probably be able to fit is a good wool shirt and/or a moleskin vest under that coat. So I’m wondering how warm this “mid-weight” layer is? I’ve been thinking I should look for a heavy or “expedition” weight capilene or the like. Is there a warmer Sitka version? And will it show up in these parts? Thoughts?

John – good questions here. From Sitka there isn’t a warmer mid weight layer. The fleece is very warm for the weight and with a vest and the Celsius I think you’ve got a very smart and warm layer system. If it gets really really cold, if you’re not on the move then the best thing is going to be a lofted insulation like down or polarguard. But prior to that, this is a great layer piece that’s as close to an expedition weight fleece as Sitka gets.I hope my $.02 helps.

I bought a dozen of the Gold Tip Pro Hunter Arrows in Mossy Oak Treestand in 7595. My order detail also shows them as Pro Hunters. On the “past deals” it shows that they were Gold Tip Vapor Pro’s. Exactly which ones are they? I presumed I was buying the Gold Tip Pro Hunters as that is how they were listed.

We’ve only had one piece in Optifade so far – the Jetstream Jacket which we’ve still got a few sizes left (S, M, XXXL) It is a very tall order to get more on Camofire since Sitka is selling it so well at full retail.
