Regular Retail Price: $89.99
Camofire Price: $39.75 – 55% OFF
Description:
The SITKA Summit Series includes the Timberline Expedition Bottom which is a light fleece backed insulating base layer that will keep you warm when the temperatures cool off. Although it’s ultra soft to the touch this is a rugged field tested piece that any outdoor athlete would appreciate. Designed to breath well and to wick moisture away from your body while you sweat, it also dries extremely fast.
Sitka included their Ultra Illuscent Max Anti-microbial treatment to keep your smell out of the wind of that 380 bull you’ve just called in to 30 yards. Regardless of your activity – hunting, camping, fishing, even skiing – the Timberline bottom is one piece you’ll be glad you pulled on.

West – we rebuilt this sizing chart based on trying the Sitka items on and comparing the fit that we and our customers have been experiencing. We felt like Sitka’s chart was fitting the jackets and pants a bit snug.

Now if we can just get the Traverse zip top! What is your opinion when comparing the traverse to something like smartwool, or icebreaker? I am also going to invest in a icebreaker or smartwool midweight zip top.

Travis, – The merino pieces from Ibex, Icebreaker and Smartwool are going to feel different from the Traverse (not as soft in my opinion) and although inherently different performing materials based on wool vs. poly I think they will perform somewhat similar. The traverse is a great piece indeed. However, I love a good merino wool base layer and it’s hard to beat. You should check out the merino base layers that Backcountry.com is making under their own brand name – I think they are just as good if not better than the brands I mentioned and right now on sale with their Semi-Annual sale. Check it out for sure.
