Sitka really outdid themselves when they created the indestructible yet comfortable Ascent Pant. This lightweight hunting pant is ideal for early season bow hunting or anything where a lightweight rugged pant is ideal. Don’t just believe the hype, check out these details – four-way stretch soft shell material that’s abrasion/water resistant/wind resistant, highly breathable,DWR treated, taped seams (no sewing in the seams which can create a weak point), storm proof zippers…the list goes on.
But do they work? Super quiet and some of the most comfortable pants you’ll ever wear in the field. Fully gusseted for comfort with fabric that easily stretches so regardless of what you have to climb over or crawl through this pant will not slow you down. Removable suspenders come included.

How do the sizes run. I have the 2007 90% pants in xxl and they are too big. Also had the 2007 downpour pants in xxl and they were too big. Do some of these newer models run smaller or about the same. I bought these in xl and hope they are perfect. Been waiting for these for a while. Thanks for the deals.

These pants run true to the sizing chart. We adjusted the chart a little bit from Sitka’s based on the fact that we’ve sold hundreds if not thousands of Sitka items and in particular these pants and the 90% pants, which both differ from the sizing chart. These run true while the 90% pants run a little small.

One thing for certain is that these pants won’t require a “break in”. They have to be the most comfortable pants I have EVER worn. I even wore them rabbit hunting on Jan 1 with an expedition base layer. They were still terrific.
I love how they seem to “help” me climb the mountain. I am sure it is the 4 way stretch, but they really seem so great for climbing the hills.
As you can tell, I am a firm believer in them. Just don’t think that they will be “waterproof”. They dry really fast though.
