QUESTION: We have had the question “What’s the 90% Lite and how does it differ from the 90% jacket you’ve sold before”
ANSWER: The 90% Lite is the 2008-09 90% jacket. It’s just a little thinner (not quite as thick of a fleece liner) than the 2007 90% jacket that we’ve sold in the past and it doesn’t have a hood. Sitka found that a number of hunters never used the hood and wanted something they could still use as an outer shell but could layer under vs having something that was thick and often too warm.

Is there a difference between 90% gear and 90% LITE gear? I’ve seen them referenced both ways and have always assumed they’re one and the same. Am I wrong?

Doug – they are one and the same. They said “lite” during the 2008 year because it was lighter weight than the 2007 version which is noticeably heavier. They dropped the “lite” name after one year.

Kendall, in regards to returns. Does the item need to be post marked in 10 days or less of receiving it or does it need to be delivered to you in that time?

Have you considered a forum section of the site where camofirers can chat without awaiting moderation? It would give us the ability to share insights on a products fit, quality, durability, etc.. Or maybe even trade gear we got itchy trigger on and didn’t really need. We could accomplish all this while we are watching the size M 90% jacket hang in all its glory.

I just discovered Camofire on September 29, 2009, and go figure, the exact jacket I can’t find anywhere (especially in my size, XL) had already been featured on September 22, 2009. The Sitka 90% Jacket in Realtree AP. It was Sitka customer service that refered me here. I would love to find one to go with the Sitka pants and other gear I already own.
