Description:
Sitting in a treestand waiting for that big 10 point you saw all summer requires patience and the best performing gear to be ready for the moment of truth. Enter the ScentBlocker Dream Season Silent Shell. With more features and pockets than you can shake a stick at, this jacket takes soft-shell technology and integrated features to the next level. Without going bulky, this scent control gear is thinner, lighter, softer, more comfortable and durable with the added stretch you get from softshell. Add to this a DWR finish and abrasion resistance fabric and next season in this gear will truly be your dream season.
Extra thought like the range finder tether cord with attaching carabiner in the left chest pocket lets you know that this jacket was built by hunters for hunters. Play it safe with your safety harness inside the jacket using the slit in the upper back that has a weather protection flap. The list of features is long, but the bottom line is that this jacket will keep you comfortable and allow for excellent range of motion as you draw back on your dream buck this year.

Kendall, Got a question for you.
Can you tell me what are the differences between CORE4 190 merino and the Assault midweight? I understand that they are different materials, but what about weight which one is lighter? Which one is warmer? I plan on getting both, but for now I can only get one, which one would you suggest to get first? Keep in mind what time of year it is, also I would be using it for the upcoming Elk Season next weekend in MT. So my use won’t be for sitting in a treestand, but hiking, spoting, camping in the Mountains, that kind of thing. I have plenty of underlayers I can use, I’m more looking for that performance shirt one that isn’t going to get me to warm or to cold during the day while I’m hiking and not wearing my element Jacket.
Thanks

Thought I’d help out here…I have almost all of the Core4Element stuff through Kendall and the camofire crew here…which includes both products you’re asking about.
Boy Doc, the Merino is a lot lighter and seems to be just as warm if not a little warmer than the Assault, but if I had to pick which one to go with right now, that would be tough choice.
I think I’d go with the merino, mainly because currently in MT, it’s getting pretty chilly at night and in the mornings, and if I am out hunting and it gets warm around noon, I could take off my element Jacket and I would dry out immediately and get cooled down. The Assault does have a noticeable odor control that the merino doesn’t. So with these MT winters, one minute it could be 20 degrees the next 75 degrees, the Assault would provide you with a better overall coverage. It would keep you warm, keep you cool, and not be throwing a lot of your scent around. But I think I would definitely be getting both products, if I was you. Hope this helps, if not, feel free to ask more questions. PS…I have no affiliation with camofire or Core4Element, just a big fan of quality hunting products at reasonable prices.

First, I would like to retract my accidental dislike of this question/comment.
I, too am looking for a decent upland bird vest. I have visited another store’s site (named after a major river in the NW) that sometimes has them on their outlet website, but they are not quite what I am looking for- especially price wise.
This merino shirt is great according to my father. I bought 2 for him for Salmon fishing on the Columbia where the wind can blow incessantly, yet the sun may come out for 3 hours and sweat you outta your drawers. He’s not much on the camo action as he doesn’t hunt, but I own the assault and agree with Tim. The Assault was just up last week or so, but this one is up now. Get it while you can and grab an Assault next chance you get.

I just ordered the scentblocker silent shell jacket. Will the matching pants be offered soon. I would also like to see more of the Vanguard binoculars, especially the spirit ED 8×42′s. Vortex are also a favorite of mine. Thanks and keep the deals coming.
