August has arrived and so we figured “why wait to roll out this month’s Sitka weekend?” Well, given the archery hunt opens in Nevada tomorrow, Utah in 2 weeks and most everywhere around the west this month, we figured if there’s something from Sitka you want/need then we’d better get things rolling.
So yes, say hello tol SITKA SATURDAY. What is is? It’s basically where we roll off as many Sitka items in a 48 hour period that we can.
Here’s how it works.
- The first item goes up at 11pm
- Once it sells out, the next item will come up again
- IF, IF an item goes too long without selling out we’ll pull it and put the next item up
- We reserve the right to determine how long is too long but if you comment on the forum that it’s been “too long” we’ll listen.
- The fun ends at 11pm MST Saturday SUNDAY night.

We’ve grown accustomed to this question – Will we combine shipping from the weekend? YES, we will combine your shipping if you order multiple items and we’ll refund the difference. For the boys in AK, we’ll ship USPS so you don’t pay $35 shipping for a shirt.

Does anyone know if sitka runs larger then normal. I usually like to buy large for the extra room.. but could fit in the medium sizes (I’m about a 33″ waist”). Larges are gone… wondering if I should swipe up a medium. Any thoughts would be appreciated…. Ben

Kendall… I agree on the “unfairness” of the midnight CST (1:00am EST for me) starting time. I get why that seems like a sensible time to post a new item. The reality is, I love being able to check in DAILY, multiple times daily, to see what you got. But I can’t stay up ’til 1:00am every day to make sure I don’t miss out on a great new deal. And it’s disappointing to check on your site bright and early in the morning to find out I missed out on something I really wanted. I’m guessing the the vast majority of your customers are from North America. So it would seem most advantageous to make the start time something that’s as convenient for as many people as possible… like noon, 12:00pm CST. If it sells out, post another item and let it ride until noon the next day (unless that sells out too, then post another).

I thought of another idea, if I may. It would be cool, for us, some of us anyway, to know what the next item will be ahead of time… not necessarily when it will be posted, but just what the item will be. Now, that feature would remove the 100% mystery aspect of your site and maybe you don’t want to go that way. But what if I paid for that privilege? What if I could purchase a “premium membership” or something like that… $5.00 annually, 20 bucks for a “lifetime membership” (just brainstorming here). So when I login to my account, I can see what you have lined up to go on sale next, maybe purchase leftover stock, if available, from the item that went previous to the current item (perhaps for a slightly higher price that it was listed for originally). I could also see my purchase history (something I’d like to see anyway), and so on. Or maybe we could “earn” the premium membership by spending a certain amount of money. Perhaps after $500 worth of purchases, one is awarded a premium membership, something like that. Just thinkin’. Thanks for being so open to ideas.
