I used the cow rump decoy last elk season… and I’m hooked! I didn’t have elk running in to it, but it did buy us some precious time with a few bulls that lingered longer than they should have.

Yeah that “Miss September” Montana decoy is sweet. It’s the cow quartering away feeding. My buddy has given two bulls in the last two years the ol’ steel tipped carbon injection after they were fooled by that decoy. I have the rump, but sure would love to have both in my arsenal!

Oh yea, back from the Tetons. Biz as usual this week. Backcounty skiing was off the charts good, and we saw around 600 head of elk near Jackson. Couldn’t help but think about all the elk that have gone to the great elk herd in the sky as a result of the wolf explosion….

Darn, got a Text telling me the cyclone pants were on sale and bought them and then got a text saying the L1 shirt was on sale and was told that they were on sale before the pants and were sold out quickly. Crazy that I got the text for the pants before the text for the shirts and didn’t get the text for the shirts until after they were sold out.
