Anyone familiar with the REFLECTOR BUTTON UP SHIRT that is coming up? It is in Russell’s L4 level, but appears to be light weight. I guess I am struggling to figure out it’s proper application.

Byron – great question. I had never heard of it before, but when I saw it I was impressed with it. Based on their L1-L5 system rating, this should be a 1.5 in my opinion. It’s a very lighweight wind shirt, not water resistant, but wind resistant. It’s ideal use is early season or warm weather when you want to toss on a jacket to take the wind out of the equation but the jacket is too warm. It’s got a mesh like (not mesh but not pure wind fabric either) back so that it breathes super well when you’re on the go with a pack on. It’s a very specific use item but if you’ve ever wanted something to help eliminate the wind without adding warmth for those summer/late summer hunts, this is that type of piece.

Is the half zip mock neck coming up the L2 Tundra? I bought one of those and it seems like it is going to be pretty warm. If this Reflector button up is a L 1.5 I might need to get it too.

You mentioned that you had a half zip mock neck shirt coming up, and I was wondering if is was the L2 Tundra. After I asked the question I checked it out on the Russell site and there is a L4 Reflector in the half zip mock neck so I assume that is what will be coming up later this week.

These lasers are good for an air rifle or maybe plinking with a .22. Thats about it. I mounted the one I bought last time on my .40 cal and on then on my AR. It held center for 1 shot on the .40 at 15 yards. The second shot was about 8 inches high, and by the third shot the laser didn’t even appear on the target. I got about 2 more shots in before going off the target with the AR at 30 yards.
