Description:
When settling in for that long coveted photo next to your hunt-of-a-lifetime buck, you’ll know that the price you paid of rock hopping mountain streams, pushing through thick brush and downed timber, scrambling up scree filled slopes, and weathering out autumn thunderstorms were no match for the seasoned Element Pants you contently wear. Each detailed feature was created with one thing in mind: Success in the elements is made easier with gear that performs flawlessly.
Treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellency), this soft shell pant will repel moisture and hold the wind at bay. Although ideal for cooler weather hunts thanks to the bonded micro-fleece backing, the Element Pants have 7 inch vents on the inside of the thighs that are mesh covered to flare open, drawing in maximum air flow as temperatures inside or outside the pants rise. The comfortably deep hand pockets, rear flap closure pockets and oversized cargo pockets store gear quietly and with ease.
The snap closure cargo pockets have a separate exterior slanted vertical zip pocket making access to essential gear simple no matter your position. Removable ergonomic knee pads will save your knees while stalking or kneeling and can be easily accessed with the pant on or off. The Element Pant has removable suspenders, 7.5 inch lower leg zippers and oversized reinforced belt loops keeping you comfortable and protected no matter where the hunt takes you.

Thanks for keeping the C4E stuff coming. Great gear. Don’t know why I just had to buy another pair of Element pants (last pair are holding up great). Just too good of a deal:)

don’t have a fabric tape measure. typically i’m a big 34 or a small 36. 6’2″, so probably a T,
suggest 34 or 36?

Allan,
I am 5’10 170. Wear a 32 waist 34 inseam in all my jeans. 34 waist 34 inseam (34T) in the Element pants fits me perfectly. I would say 36T for you. Hope that helps.

Size question, also no measuring tape, in the middle of a move, I’m 5’10′ 205, thicker legs cause I live in the gym, or the woods, 34 gonna fit over my legs or should I rock the 36?..inseam? Couldn’t even begin to guess..any help would be appreciated

Which pair of pants is best suited for September bow hunts in Montana? Element or Switchback?

I wear the switchback from 80-65 with a merino base, and the elements from 65 no base to 30 with a base layer. I would go with the Elements because you can open the vents on warm afternoons but they are going to protect against elements, wind, and chilly mornings much better

Depends on your elevation and the year. Last couple years bowhunting Alberta’s foothills in September was stinking hot, and only cool for the first few hours of the morning. This was when we covered the most ground to get at the elk, so lightweight pants were a must. My dad used the switchbacks and loved them and only used merino longjohns on the few truly frosty mornings.
He has the Elements now though since we’re doing more October bow hunting, and you can never really tell what kind of a year you’ll get weather-wise. Depends on how active and mobile you need to be, and just your personal temperature preference. My two cents. I prefer lighter stuff and use layering to adapt to various temps. Trying to get some Switchbacks in my size today…

Jon – we are sold out of the 38″ Switchbacks. Won’t have any until the fall. Check the Core4Element.com website to see if they have some left.

Kendall, bought a couple of torrent jackets and pants off this lineup and wanted to know if they are current models or old inventory. Ratings are 10k/10k not 20k/20k.

Never mind . Just looked at forum in November and saw the explanation of a typo on the tags. Also called core4element and they said they’ve never made a 10k/10k and that it was indeed a typo. Sorry. It’s a great feeling set of rain gear and I feel confident it will work well for years.

It was awesome. Perfect spring skiing at Alta – sunny, warm, plenty of smiles and we basically had the place to ourselves. Thanks for asking and for the comment!

Raymond – go with the 34 for sure. In fact, you should put a tape to your waist (we love to say “the tape doesn’t lie) and then order exactly what you measure by size number.

Garth – I think we’re pretty close to getting that set up for our friends to the north. In the meantime, give us a call and we’ll get an order together so that you can get both shipped in the same order.

I purchased some Switchback pants for my wife, and I got size small. I should have ordered a medium. Do you have a pair I can switch out? I realize it has been several months. Bruce Cooper
