Description:
The Montana Decoy Tom Turkey decoy is a very light and portable decoy that will be sure to deliver big results this spring when the turkeys start to gobble. They are fast to set up, usually less than 30 seconds, and are supremely portable and extremely effective! The 2D photo makes for a 3D look printed on a outdoors-durable material that won’t fade in the sunlight. With an easy-twist frame and ground stake set up and take down will last just seconds. It weighs just ounces, but these “Turkeys” will get you pounds of hunting success!

I have used these decoys in the last year and we had several successful hunts with both the gobbler and the hen decoys. These are light, packable and easy to set up. Do not set them all up in a line but instead cant them in different directions so no matter which way the big gobbler comes in, he is going to see the decoys and be ready for action when the time add him to your trophy collection.

Kevin – thanks for the feedback on this decoy. My son will be using it when we get him set up for his first turkey hunt later this month. Hope the site is going well. Saw a couple of your latest podcasts and they were good. Seen any Turkey success yet this year?

I had hens on mine last weekend, they weren’t spooked by the decoys and seemed comfortable with them, but they didn’t stick around either. May have been the questionable turkey in blind calling to them…
I use the elastic band on the hen body to hook on the foot peg on the ground stake, the decoy will swing in the breeze, but won’t spin around. Haven’t set the Tom out yet, we have very limited mature birds that will pick a fight. I love the ease of carry and quick set up.

I’m going through withdrawals, just doesn’t seem to be anything screaming out for me to buy lately.
I did get to put some of my new Russell APXg2 gear to a test last weekend shed hunting in New Mexico. I thought the L3 Zephyr pants were going to be too warm in 75 degree afternoon temperatures, but they really weren’t bad at all. The L4 Reflector Mock Zip long sleeve shirt was great, probably cooler than wearing a T-Shirt but the long sleeves kept me from getting sunburned and I ended up with fewer scratches on my arms from brush and cactus than if I’d have been wearing a short sleeved T-Shirt.
A lot of folks are hesitant about the “Mossy Oak Treestand” camo pattern, but it fit in pretty well in the mountains of New Mexico.

Hey Kendall, do you have any idea when you will be posting those Tundra shirts you mentioned about 3 weeks ago. I know you said there would be “lots of them.” So, I have been watching. Thanks!

Roundup – tomorrow (tonight at 11pm MST) Even our USPS gal that picks up was asking about the Tundra today and when it’ll be up on the site.
Kase – They are a little big. If you ordered your normal jacket size I think you’ll be set. (I was with an XL)
