I have purchased quite a few pairs of these and have worn them hiking in the Idaho summers to Hunting in 6 inches of snow and these socks keep my feet dry and warm all day. I now wear them as my daily use sock for work as well. Great product and highly recommended.

I find myself right at the size break of Med. and Large as I wear a 9.5 to 10, so don’t want the sock to fit tight but don’t want to have it all bunched up either.
What you guys that wear these on a regular basis recommend? Thanks

How much will the C4E merino 190 shirts shrink when washed cold and hung to dry? Fear sleeve shrinkage and need to know about sizing up. Many thanks for any help/suggestion anyone can give.

I have been wearing the boxers and the 1/4 zip top for about a year now. I do not think that there as been any shinkage. The sleeves would be too short for me if not for the extra lenght with thumb holes for covering the back of the hands. I have a 34″ sleeve lenght and wear the large. I like it a lot and bought a second 1/4 zip and two pairs of bottoms this fall.

Thanks Cliff! I wear 36″ sleeve in XL and size chart list it w/ 35″, but the C4E synthetic Assault & Pivot fit me great in XL. Kendall advised these synthetics fit large but really concerned merino will be too small. On the fence.

Cliff – thanks for the feedback on this. FYI – the current 1/4 zip has the thumb holes removed with a little bit more added sleeve length. I was told that going into next year the length of the body will be increased a bit to accommodate for the guys that do throw the merino into the dryer on Phoenix style heat (that would be me) and may experience a bit of shrinking.

All,
I bought the merino 1/4zip and base layer and boxers. They are awesome. I have now washed them a couple of times according to their directions and I have not had any shrinkage at all. I bought them a little tighter as a base layer and if they did shrink I would know it and have to start my diet!
Way up here it gets darn cold (Alberta, Canada) at least by most of the site dwellers standards. In fact, I am heading out for a hunt tomorrow and it will be about -12 celcius (don’t ask me to convert to Farenheit) and that is coldish. At that temperature the 190merino is ok if you are active but if you are planning a sit for any extended period of time the cold will creep in! Kendall, I wonder if you could pass on a request to the Core4 guys to see if they can get/produce a 230g merino base layer product? If so, I would by it in a heartbeat..love the merino stuff! The Core4 guys did say they are working on some “Cold” weather gear for us northerners…lets hope its soon! Lets just say that the wife….not so happy to hear about that!
