KNIFE DAY: We’ve got a few items in the line up today, either from SOG or CRKT. Some have limited inventory and will sell out quickly while others will give you some time to think about the deal before you get trigger happy. Back to back knife deals is what Rapid Fire is all about.
Today’s First Deal: SOG AUTO CLIP KNIFE
Regular Retail Price: $30.00
Camofire Price: $12.99 – 57% OFF Retail

Description:
SOG’s AutoClip series was so popular as a solid pocket knife that they brought it back. It’s a no nonsense line of lockbacks that are very lightweight, durable and at a price we can all appreciate. Ideal for an every day carry knife or even better as the backup you keep in your hunting pack, the AutoClip is worth having. The name comes from the spring-activated clip design which lets you clip it to a variety of pant pockets with the same clamp force regardless of the thickness of the fabric.
It comes with an adjustable thumbstud that will let you fine tune its position and tailor it to your hand. The AutoClip’s signature basket weave texture on the handle insures non-slip performance. The blades are beautifully ground with a two directional high gloss satin finish, typically only found in much more expensive knives. At an open length of 8 1/4″ and given the price this knife is worthy of being in any hunting pack.

I agree – not feelin’ it today on the knife day either. We just got some new SOG knives that didn’t make it into the line up that I’m sure will be a little more interesting. Field Pup with a leather shealth is pretty sweet. It’s def gonna go in my hunting pack.

Kendall,
Just read your comment about the field pup. You must have the heaviest hunting pack on earth. I know I have a lot of junk that I think I need when I go out, but if I had access to all the stuff you have access to, I would need an additional cargo trailer outfitted like a mobile retail store. Glass case for all the knives, revolving retail racks for all of the clothes- organized by camo pattern, built ins to house maps, guns, boots, bows, ammo – oh my! Gets me excited just thinking about it. Like a man cave on wheels. Just need a chair, tv and dvd player in a corner. I should get back to work….. designing my layout of my Wells Cargo.

Farley that is pure comedy!
I’m out of town in the desert with the family. I’m checking the forum a bit so I’m sorry for the delay.
All – very sorry for the price mix up. The site always works on the premise that until the item is purchased it is available on the site. Believe it or not guys out thing in their cart and don’t finalize the purchase which if we.did deduct it from inventory upon putting it in your cart and you didn’t finalize the purchase it could throw off accurate inventory. All online sites function in this fashion but the urgency of purchasing on camofire accentuates this, especially on hot items with a finite inventory.

Hey Kendall, one suggestion, as I’m one of those guys that add an item to the cart just to see what the extra item is……perhaps give a preview of the extra item on the home page?…..
just a thought…

Corey- I’m in.
I do the same thing. Makes it kinda like a surprise behind door #1. I sometimes wonder though, what am I gonna do with Realtree pants in a medium just to get a sweet pair of socks in a large? It’s reminds me of the Five Easy Pieces – Diner Scene. Put that in YouTube- hilarious. Classic Jack Nicholson.

Farley – thanks for the Five Easy Pieces – Diner Scene recommendation. Nice to see Jack in his younger years…and pretty funny too! Hold the Medium Realtree pants between your knees and I’ll bring you the check!

What about a time limit on check-out? IE if the item is not through checkout in 1 minute, it goes back to inventory? My smart phone would be challenged to make this timeline, but it would probably work.
Another thought is a stand-by list, as you have had some items come back from buyers, and many of us were looking for the same item, but didn’t make the timeline or the size sold out. One of your competing sites does this with some success. Might cut down on the “onezes/twozes” in the warehouse.
I’m guilty of the “checkout peek” at the extra item as well…but you’ve created the monster by adding some sweet items in the extra item bin.
