If you can get past the color, these Minoxs are a great value for the price. A bit heavier than other 10x42s, but solid built and will take a beating…at least mine have and survived.

Would be good for my son to use at 3D archery shoots. He seems to set his down a lot, has lost two pair that. Debating if I want to risk 160 bucks on these…

Paul – having had the experience of looking through these Minox, I’d say for the quality of glass $160 is not a risk….but based on your son’s past track record THAT is indeed a risk.

You won’t have problem figuring out who picked them up afterwards…

how do the Minox compare to the nikons on now? I’m going to donate a prize for a kids camp WSF Ab puts on. Not too many folks sporting hunter orange here. Not sure if kids (more their hard core dads) would be put off. Probably kids would be stoked with anything. Is the glass on par with the Nikons?

D – I think that the Minox glass is indeed on par with the Nikon Monarch. Minox could be one of the most under rated lesser known about optics brands in hunting here in the US. In Europe, Minox is strong and on par with how solid Nikon is here in the US. Hope that helps. Anyone else have feedback? Oh, we have a couple of pairs of the Minox left just in case you wanted to get one…
