I just purchased the Fenix TK40 flashlight. This is a great unit as it yields 630 lumens in a compact flashlight. I like the multiple settings but wish the pressure switch was on the top front of the unit like a mag-light. On the highest setting it will throw out a beam of light up to 300 feet on full charged batteries. If you are going to navigating in the back country and need a high performance flashlight this is the one for you.
I went to their web site and found some nice head lamps that could be used during the field dressing of my big game. There is a U-Tube video on the web as well. The TK40 will run on 4 AA batteries but needs 8 for the full 630 lumens. I purchased a small portable Energizer recharging unit that will plug into my 12 volt adapter in my truck and then purchased a dozen AA rechargeable batteries for all my batteries powered gear. It nice to have a high output flashlight and a quick way to recharge the batteries while in elk camp. Remember: Sate Hunting Is No Accident
