Are these boots so super thick and burly that they would impede actually hiking around in the snow and bush, or do they still maintain a decent form around the foot so they snay snug and keep feet dextrous. Or would they feel like a big sloppy felt-pac?

Slinger: I missed your question until now, but I have the same line in 800 grams, they are my hiking, scouting boots in cold weather. IMO, they are much more of a boot fit than a PAC. I’ve used them often to climb a Summit stand and sit, so they work in “normal” hunting apps. I think the scent blocker insulated boots are better for sitting in cold weather and about the same size in the foot. These boots will probably be back up again if you ask Kendall.

Greg – You’re correct on all counts. Thanks for chiming in for Slinger’s questions. These boots even at the 1200 grams are still more of a boot feel than a PAC. And yes, they will be up again. We even had them in size 12, 13, and 14 that just arrived in the warehouse.
