Description:
The Treestand Jacket from Team Realtree, manufactured by Diablo Outdoors, is for the serious hunter who demands the excellent performance of a 2 layer Gortex jacket. It’s much more than a rain jacket, and with 2 layer Gortex the elements are no match for this jacket, no matter if it’s wind, snow, rain or all of the above. Because of its lighter weight performance, it will also be an excellent rain/snow jacket as an outer layer. 2 chest pockets with waterproof zippers keep essential gear stored as well as two hand pockets.
Stormflap zipper with the ability to zip in a fleece or down jacket adds to just how bomber this can be. Even if you’re not in a treestand, the Treestand jacket has you covered with all the best details and features.

This is a general question for the forum. I have been looking for an unisulated or very light weight archery glove that is bowhunter friendly and waterproof. I normally cut the trigger finger off my archery gloves but was wanting a glove that is thin enough that I don’t have to do that. I have a pair on the manzella gloves that accomodate a release and are waterproof but they feel just a little too thick for my liking. Does anyone have a recommendation? I have considered some of the Sitka gloves that have come up on camofire but they didn’t look ‘archery friendly’. All thoughts and comments welcome. Thanks for the advice in advance.

Mike,
I have the Sitka Shooter Gloves and I absolutely love them for bowhunting. They have a lightly padded palm so they are almost like Mechanix gloves. They serve me well the entire time I’m in the woods from walking in, climbing trees, and even while shooting. And the best part, I got them from Camofire!

Hey Mike, I know exactly what you mean when you say the gloves are too thick. I have gone over so many pairs of gloves including the manzellas that you are referring to. The best ones I have found as of now are the Under Armour Liner gloves and the new GSX glove that is made by guide series.
Good Luck!

I posted this earlier, but it included a picture and the post has to be moderated before it shows up. I didn’t see the part about you wanting them to be waterproof.

Mike – I’ve been in the same boat. I have the super thin Manzella glove and it works pretty good. I use the Sitka Core glove for bow season and I can put my release over the glove. I also have an old thin Primos glove that does the same. Both are lightweight and both are not water resistant but both will take the bite out of a cooler morning and give me camo coverage. I haven’t seen the Under Armour one but if it’s like the Sitka Core, it’ll work.
I do like the Sitka Shooter glove but IMHO I can get a Stanley work glove at home depot in brown for $10 that’ll do the same for a third the cost.

Thanks for all the input fellas. I do have a pair of the Sitka shooter glove(camofire purchase) and like the feel of them but they are not waterproof. I will check out the Under Armour and GSX guide series gloves just not sure if they are waterproof though.
I bet they would kill in the archery market.
Kendall- any chance you could get C4E to build a pair of these? They could call them the Mike Glove since you had a pair of pants named after you
Thanks again Gents!

@ Mike H – You may want to look into the Sitka shooter gloves. But they are NOT waterproof. They are great gloves especially for bow hunting early season. They used to sell them here on camofire but i am not sure they are getting them in anymore.

Is this Paclite Gore-tex?

Thomas – no, it’s goretex 2 layer. It’s a bit heavier/stronger than Paclite, with a bit of stretch if I recall correctly. Don’t quote me on that.

I was hoping the ATV bag was going to be the rear seat bag by diamondback. Any chance we will see that bag on camofire soon?

Jeremy – I’ll work with them for a deal on the rear seat bag. They have been awesome to work with and seem willing to let us try their line up. Can’t imagine they’ll say no….

Thanks Kendall. I love their front rifle bag and need the matching set, but would prefer the seat bag over the trunk bag.

I hate it when I have a combined order going, and Camofire seems to get stalled on something like an ATV bag. I am not seeing the progress indicator move at all.
For archery gloves, I go as thin as possible. I bought a bunch of cheap camo cotton gloves from Walmart on clearance a few years ago. I cut off the thumb and trigger finger on my release hand. For my grip hand I want as little as possible messing with the grip. I don’t like the padded gloves since it is all about solid contact between bones and grip. I practice with the gloves on, and really find I have a hard time maintaining tight groups if I use much of any kind of glove with padding. If Camofire came out with a cheap camo glove I would probably buy more of them just to butcher them for my needs. It would be nice if they were made of something that dries better than cotton (I don’t need waterproof for my hands), has similar insulation value (not a big deal for September), but is super thin in the palm, and has fingers easy to remove completely.

For archery gloves you might want to take a look at the BUFF fishing gloves that they just came out with. I have not tried them but if I can grip a fly rod with them I am sure that they would work with my bow.
They are the company that makes the UV wraps that they use on the Survivor TV show.
