Waiting on a pack…got enough socks:)
I almost jumped on the Blacks Creek pack. Any chance of a Nimrod pack showing up soon? Or maybe a womens pack for my girl?

Nimrod packs – not likely, but one never knows.
FYI guys on the new Rocky Silent Hunter boot – it’s an upgraded and a little more rigid version from the Broadhead

Anyone with thoughts on these boots? I don’t really need any boots, but am thinking about picking up a pair of warm weather boots. Any idea how these would hold up on rugged terrain hauling a decently heavy pack?

Same Q’s,
Whats the weight? Gortex so im assuming they are water-proof? Will they hold up when chasing elk in the high desert? I can’t stand heavy Danner Pronghorn type boots when walking 3-6 miles a day!!! Thanks

Sorry guys, been all over the map today. Ross (who runs the Camofire Facebook Page was in town today from Boise and we were all over the place prior to putting him in the new Core 4 gear and on an airplane back to Boise so he can go kill a bear tonight!
Jay – I’ll check the inbox.
Regarding weight of these boots – I don’t know specifically and can’t find out since the warehouse is shut down for the weekend. We’ll have them up again. I can say that they feel super light. The box with the shoes is 2.75 pounds (shipping weight). Hope that helps. We have a lot of these so if you miss it this time chances are you’ll get it next. (not a wise strategy if you’ve been around these parts much)
Jordan – we have had Kenetrek in the past and they sold WICKED fast. We’re always looking for heavy pack boots too.

Dave300-according to the Rocky website – yes, waterproof. Couple of reviews on Bass Pro, one neagtive for rubbing, one postitve for elk hunting in northern New Mexico for ten days.
Here’s the weight for those looking: Average weight per pair:2 lbs. 2 oz. Sounds like about a pound each shoe.

Love the Core 4 boxers. Looking for some full length base layer bottoms too.
Is the stuff coming up all outerwear?

Full length base layer bottoms (merino) I heard would be later this summer towards the start of fall (early sept I think)
The stuff that is coming is outerwear jacket/pant, light weight and mid weight zip neck shirts and a beanie. I think that’s all that is coming now. I’ll update the forum as soon as I know and the Core 4 site is in the works so once I hear that it’s live I’ll pass on the word.

Website, Cool – thanks.
Early September – that will be cutting it pretty close. Leaving for Colorado on the 12th. Probably have to go a different route.
Maybe just have to wear the boxers with extra long socks……
