CRKT designer Kit Carson is a retired lifetime soldier who has been building knifes full time since 1993. Combine the two backgrounds and the result is a well designed folding tactical knife in the M21 Special Forces model from CRKT. The deep-bellied spear point blades were specified because they offer maximum strength while the open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt— very rare in folding knives.

Using an aluminum frame with contoured handles of black, hard anodized 6061 T6 aluminum in a non-reflective tactical black, it delivers a solid feel without weighing you down. CRKT incorporated the Auto-Lawks feature for increased security not matter what the demanding use. One-hand opening and closing thanks to the dual thumb studs delivers a quick and smooth action. Caution: These knives are not designed for tip-up in-pocket carry.

They are special knives, designed by the military for special forces use. At 9 1/4″ full open length the M21 is serious business for any knife collector or user.
