Description:
Lightweight, durable, and comfortable are three words that fully describe the Switchback Pant. Built for warmer hunts where movement is key, the Switchback Pant is constructed of 100 % double weaved 2-way stretch polyester to breathe extremely well with a gusseted crotch to increase range of motion. They resist moisture and provide mountain-worthy durability, and the fit allows for spring-weight underlayers on those brisk mornings.
When on the final stalk, removable knee pads offer amazing comfort. Snap closure cargo pockets with added slanted vertical zip pocket on the outside allows for easy access no matter your position. Should the weather becomes almost unbearable, rollup the bottom of the pant and a convenient button closure transforms these lightweight pants to lightweight shorts. Suspender loops offer you the option of wearing or not wearing suspenders. These are great feeling pants that will keep you light on your feet, comfortable from sunrise to sundown as you are switch-backing up the trail.

How have the Switchback pants held up for you guys? Going elk hunting for the first time and put a pair through the wash to get rid of the scent and went to put the kneepads in and found a rip at the top of the pocke where the pad goes in.

Eric – Sounds like that may have been in there from the factory as my pants have been through around 10 days hunting/hiking and I have one small 1cm long rip at the top of the knee pad from catching it on a downed pine this weekend. I had a customer tell me he ripped his in a rock-slide after getting his foot caught in a slot. Did the rip appear after using them or before? If before, heck, let’s get you a replacement pair.

Only time they’ve been handled was to check the fit when I bought them and just this past weekend in the wash to get ready for our elk trip on the 15th this month. I asked Core4 about them on their website but no response yet. I know the material is a bit on the thin side but I guess I’d expect them to be able to go through the laundary.

Eric – I’ll take care of it and work with Core4 to sort out the credit. A new pair is headed your way, check your inbox for details.

Hey Kendall,
When are the Core4 elements stuff going on? I think I saw somewhere that it should be in the next week or so? If so, do you expect it too come up later or maybe the Sitka as an alternative as I will be away on holiday (sailing – don’t even say it!
) and out of cell range such that I can make the buy. What are the chances of getting some Sitka Timberline pants and 90% Jacket?
Thanks,

Thanks Kendall.
I am not sure if I can make that deal I will probably be on the ocean. Will you have more coming up? What about Sitka in the next couple of weeks? Any chance you will be working out some kind of combined shipping for your northern canuck friends?
I also wanted to say that the Barbarian 2.5 is a fantastic deal and the pack is extremely well built! I e-mailed Blacks Creek to see if they have a manufacturers suggested set-up/fitting but have not rec’d any reply. Do you by chance have some infor on how to properly set up the pack?
Again many thanks from your northern friends!
