Been eyeballing the CORE4ELEMENT ASSAULT MIDWEIGHT 1/4-ZIP for a while now. I bought the merino set a few weeks ago and get them in just in time to hunt in them on my elk trip, all I can say is they were great and well made so I now have my eye on the CORE4ELEMENT gear! So pulled the trigger just a few mins ago, Thanks camofire!

Anthony – the reason the retail is $189 is because Sitka raised their prices this year. The ones we had on sale in the early part of the year were carry over from 2011 when the retail was $149. Therefore this batch of Kelvin vests we purchased from Sitka at a higher price and they are priced off the 189 retail that Sitka has in place now. Heck, at $67 I wish WE could buy it that cheap!!! No harm in asking, hope that helps you understand why.
