what is the differance between the 2011 and the 2012 switchback pants?

Clint – great question and one I think we’ve not done a good enough job of letting you guys know about. There were some minor changes like:
1. The cargo pocket zipper going from waterproof to a reversed zipper so it’s easier to open close with one hand
2. The fit went from S, M, L, XL sizes to numeric of 32, 34, 36, 38 etc.
3. Regarding the fit, the 2012 has a little added material to the hips/thighs to make them more comfortable for the guys that have big thighs.
4. The knee pad pocket was moved up a bit on the 2012.
That all said, I personally still wear the 2011 pair that I have as I like the fit a bit better. It’s kinda apples to apples, they are very similar. We are lowering the price on the 2011 to get them gone so we are clean at the end of the year (and we don’t have to pay taxes on them AGAIN sitting in our warehouse come New Years Day). Hope that helps.
