ELEMENT JACKET

Description:
When settling in for that long coveted photo next to your hunt-of-a-lifetime buck, you’ll know that the price you paid of rock hopping mountain streams, pushing through thick brush and downed timber, scrambling up scree filled slopes, and weathering out autumn thunderstorms were no match for the seasoned Element Pants you contently wear. Each detailed feature was created with one thing in mind: Success in the elements is made easier with gear that performs flawlessly.
Treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellency), this soft shell pant will repel moisture and hold the wind at bay. Although ideal for cooler weather hunts thanks to the bonded micro-fleece backing, the Element Pants have 7 inch vents on the inside of the thighs that are mesh covered to flare open, drawing in maximum air flow as temperatures inside or outside the pants rise. The comfortably deep hand pockets, rear flap closure pockets and oversized cargo pockets store gear quietly and with ease. The snap closure cargo pockets have a separate exterior slanted vertical zip pocket making access to essential gear simple no matter your position.
Removable ergonomic knee pads will save your knees while stalking or kneeling and can be easily accessed with the pant on or off. The Element Pant has removable suspenders, 7.5 inch lower leg zippers and oversized reinforced belt loops keeping you comfortable and protected no matter where the hunt takes you.

Just got my C4E gear a few days ago. It’s great stuff. Thanks again Kendall.

Right on Dusty!
I wanted to tell everyone that I adjusted the sizing chart a bit since last week. We had a few guys that were on the fence with size 34 waist that had ordered Large pants when they in fact needed XL. Same went for the jacket. IF you find yourself on the fence, size up. That’s my $.02.
Anyone who got the jacket/pant, let us know what you think.

Are these pants about the same style and weight as the Sitka 90%?

Kendall, after reading your sizing post only after pulling the trigger, I can deep breath knowing I’m a good 10 lbs lighter than last season and my 34 waist pants are plenty loose! Thanks again on getting a great deal to the site and I look forward to wearing them when our bear season opens in a few days

Kendall, My daughter normally wears a 28-30 waist in a pant. She will layer with a merino bottom, would your small(28-30) be to small? Would a med. be a better fit? Thanks…………..Allen

Darren – Mountain Mimicry works very well for me in the river swamps of Alabama. It doesn’t really look like it from the pictures, but it is actually pretty similar in colors to Mossy Oak Treestand.

Darren,
I wear Mountain Mimicry in NE Oklahoma. I’ve had several deer staring right at me at less than 30 yards and then walk right by. It works great when the leaves are dropping, but I’ve used it in early season as well.

Aaron – IMO yes, very close to the same weight as the 90%, but cut for a much better fit for climbing, sitting, and on move. I’ve worn mine in 70 degress to 95 on the East Coast, and they do breath well. The vent panels help a bunch, especially if there is any breeze at all. I also think these are stitched better than the Sitka, there’s some extra bar tacking that will hold up the stress points when hunting and loaded heavy.

Darren – yes, it’s as Brant described, but closer to the Russell MOTS colors than Scent Blocker. My Sitka MM set has more of a light green halo which I didn’t like in Northern VA. The Core4, to my eye, looks more like what I expect in browns and greys in te field, and I really noticed that from a distance, the limb pattern fades, but the over all large camo pattern is intact and definatly breaks up the human out line well. I’d wear this set about anywhere that has tree cover and/or open brush. Hope this helps.

Just wanted to share this pic with everyone. From one of many Spypoint FL-A cams purchased from Camofire! These cams work great for their price point!

When did hunting gear get so incredibly expensive? $230 retail for a pair of pants from a new company? This stuff costs more than any of our wives designer clothing. Is there some fashion show in the woods that I wasn’t invited to?
At camofire prices, it’s reasonable… still somewhat astounding, though. Hopefully Core4 doesn’t ditch Camofire once their name gets out there. I’m just glad I stocked up my closet on Sitka when it was still offered here. I’d need a second mortgage to restock my collection at retail prices.

I was one of the guys who had to exchange my L pants for the XL’s! There was no way I could layer anything under the Larges, heck even the core4 boxer briefs were a challenge!!
I like the pants but will most definitely need a little room to layer up in the Colorado Mtns in late October.
Kendall and the folks at Camofire are awesome!!

Received my core4element gear yesterday, a highly recommend the purchase if you are on the fence. Great gear for a very reasonable price compared to other top name brands.

I am new to camofire. What is the price of the extra item? If I order the pants and they turn out to be too small or too big can I return them? Thanks.

Is this your own stuff? Looks like the old Sitka design. Nice job. Will this work for hunting the desert of AZ? Will it keep me cool?

Greg- thanks for the info. I also should of asked how they fit length wise. I wear a 34 and usually have to get a tall in most pants. Looking at these in a tall I’m thinking I’d be better off getting the regular instead of the tall?

Sorry guys to have not been around much today. Greg and others, thanks for helping out fellow hunters.
Derek – Switchback pants I heard are supposed to be off the big boat on Monday which hopefully we’ll have by Aug 1. I have been testing a sample pair and will post a review/photo but I already knew I was in love with this pant. SIZING on this pant is a little different than the Element(I wasn’t too happy) but we will show an accurate chart. Also, I heard that the Switchback, Pivot and Assault shirts in Max 1 and AP will be here by about the 20th of Aug. Fun times.
Steve – you should look at the Swtichback for AZ desert hunting. The Element will be too warm, IMHO
Jeremy – the C4E retail would be set based on the regular retail model and comparable pricing. I agree 100% with what you posted as do others from the “likes”. I knew little of product manufacturing pricing/cost/etc but I can tell you from watching the C4E process stuff is not cheap….and this product as well as others (Sitka, Under Armour, Russell, Kuiu) are leaps and bounds ahead of the normal gear for performance. But yea, at the end of the day, the wallet wins.

Dan, the jacket is the extra itme and it is $125. It includes the free beanie as well. You have about 2 weeks to return them if they don’t fit, but you have to pay postage for the return shipping.
Derek, last I saw he was expecting the switchback pants to be in the first of next week (I think he said the 25th or 26th).
Steve, the switchback pant would probably be a better deal for AZ. I’m going to get a pair of those as well. Check out the Core4 website, the switchback pants look perfect for AZ.
My Element stuff should be getting here tomorrow according to the tracking, I was on a combined order.
