Description:
Whether you’re hunting high desert peaks or lush forests of the northwest, the extremely durable, breathable, and comfortable Element Jacket’s 2-way-stretch polyester double weave allows for an excellent fit (being slightly roomier in the shoulders for drawing back as well as the bottom for layering ease) while resisting wind, water and snow. Designed for the active hunter, the low profile fit offers full range of motion while 10.5 inch core vent zippers deliver amazing climate control.
A microfleece lining on the collar and chin guard complement the soft, brushed interior for next-to-skin comfort. A full-length reversed zipper, four external pockets, one internal pocket, drawcord hem, tapered sleeves, and adjustable Velcro cuffs round out the details for the Element Jacket.

Is the fit of this jacket about the same as the 90% sitka jacket?

Couple of questions. With proper layering will this set get me into mid/late november? I’ve never used this camp pattern but it seems like it should work here in NY. Finally some sizing questions im 6 foot 215 lbs I wear 33-34 waist with a 32 inseam. I have an athletic build in my upper body so would a large work for me?
Thanks,
Darren

Sizing question for Kendall.

Typically wear a 44″ dress jacket and 17″ collar with 34″ sleaves.
What size jacket and pant for me?

Just pulled the trigger on the whole setup. I am hoping the XL jacket fits as I am right in the at the cuttoff of the L and want room to layer. Pretty sure the pants will be fine. I like the idea of the kneepads in the pants, maybe I’ll end up with a few less catcus needles in my knees.
Thanks guys for awesome hunting gear. Hopefully you slow down with things I like cause at this rate I’ll be divorced. Anyway thanks again and keep up the good work.

Wow this gear looks great! I love my sitka gear I use the 90% gear in mm and im very happy during early bow but I think the C4E has it beat. those pants sound perfect much better then sitka. GREAT JOB!!! Kendall and Camofire crew

Ok guys, catching up here. Bear with me on the answers:
Darren – If it’s not too cold, yes it could be good for treestand use with some activity in between. But you’ll need to have insulating layers to be set for longterm tree stand hunting. As far as November you’ll need to layer. For your sizing I think the Large jacket may be a hair snug with your build, but I’d try that size as the XL will likely run big.
Ben – Great question – 90% lite comparable.
Andy – I’d go XL jacket as it sounds like you and I are similar build. For pants you and I are both 36 which is right in between L and XL. I know, sucks when you land in between sizes. XL with a belt will give plenty of room to layer, L will be snug, perhaps too snug for a long day of hiking/hunting.
Rick – Pant will be sold separately soon, like in the next 5 days.
CJ – Use the sizing chart for pants and jacket.
Sean – it could be used in light to moderate

I have to echo Rick’s question about the pants. Will they be a stand alone product in the future with the Jacket as the extra item? Great looking stuff. Great job Kendall and the Camofire crew!

Hey Kendall I was wondering if you have any sitka 90 percent pants in the near future and also some Russell L3 products?

Just got done looking at the core4element website. Nice. So I’ve got to ask: are you going to have any merino wool shirts in Mountain Mimicry on Camofire any time soon? Need one before September!

Jeff in WI (first off, thanks for clarifying the “in WI” – a lot of Jeff’s out there!) – yes, last I was told is that we will have the Merino in Mountain Mimicry on Camofire first at the end of Aug. I will get more info as it comes available and keep everyone posted on this. C4E will be the first company with Mountain Mimicry merino.
Mike – I think based on your size that the Large jacket will be great. On the pant, large will work good and may be bit roomy but with layering and in the saddle I think you’ll be happy.
Scooter – Sitka 90% pants are unlikely in the near future but the Russell L3 I am waiting to hear back. Fingers crossed!

Kendall, Another sizing question…
I’m 6′, 170 lbs with very long arms (29.5″ draw length on my bow) but not very wide. I’m thinking large jacket with room to layer?
Same for the pants, I usually wear a 32/33″ waist with a 34-36″ inseam (I prefer a longer inseam for when I’m in the saddle). Suggestions? Thanks!

Gene – as the extra item the pants don’t show the description but you can check it out here – http://www.core4element.com/products/element-pant/ Use the sizing chart from the jacket for the pant as well. Hope this helps! Great to hear from you.

Gene,
The pants are a bonus item today, but I believe Kendall stated they would be available in the next 5 days or so by themselves!
Thanks Kendall I just pulled the trigger on the set! I was going to hold out and buy the new Kuiu guide jacket but I think this one is gonna be close enough it’ll do the trick! Looking to wear it from mid-sept at 8K’ in Idaho for muleys to layering into November chase elk in the Panhandle!

Kendall, Any chance of gettin the pants without the Jacket. I got my upper covered with previous pulls, but the Jacket does look good.
Thanks, Gene

Hey guys, as a thought on sizing as well: For pants I am between a 32-34 (33) but oftentime manufacturers don’t make a 33. I take my pants that are slightly too big, or even just too big, to a tailor, and for around $10 they will custom fit any pants to the right waist and inseem for you. It is VERY helpful when you find a pair of pants you love, but the fit is not perfect.
Enjoy, and good luck!

Hi Kendall,
Can I purchase just the pants or do I have to purchase the jacket first?
I have a Sitka 90% Jacket in MM and have been looking for the Sitka 90% pants.
This is the closest I think I will find.
Thank you for a job well done!

I just ordered the Element jacket in a large but now i’m beginning to think I should have ordered an XL.
Kendall, I have a 46″ chest, will the large be big enough to layer a little bit underneath it or should I have gone with an XL? So glad to see this offered in Mountain Mimicry camo!!

Just pulled the trigger. I’ve been torn between Sitka 90% and the Russell ApxG2 gear……so decided to give this a try instead. Looks pretty sweet.

Jackets will come up again before Sept.and the pants will fly solo next week sometime, along with the mid weight and light weight shirts. This is just the start gents.
npaden – thank you!
Hunter – I wear a 44-46 suit coat and the large fits but not ideal for layering (vest, insulation, etc). it would only be good for a base layer with a trim fit. Arms are a tad short for my 36″ arms but the XL is roomy enough for layering (vest, insulation) without being too huge/baggy. Call in pronto if you need to change.

Kendall, i’ll go with the large, I don’t plan on running a vest or anything to thick underneath so it should work ok.
Hopefully some of their merino stuff will be in my posession before too long. Any idea of when you might be offering some of that gear? My first hunt starts August 26th.
Thanks for these killer deals too!!

Sorry to inundate ya with sizing questions, I am little concerned that my XL size is going to be a little bit too big. I wear a 46 sport jacket and built more like a keg than a tree. I would like to add some merino (or other thermals) for layering up in the cold of November & December and think with the L I am gonna be borderline snug. Let me know what you think. Thanks and Keep up the hard work, this is awesome.
