Whether you’re hunting high desert peaks or lush forests of the northwest, the extremely durable, breathable, and comfortable Element Jacket’s 2-way-stretch polyester double weave allows for an excellent fit (being slightly roomier in the shoulders for drawing back as well as the bottom for layering ease) while resisting wind, water and snow. Designed for the active hunter, the low profile fit offers full range of motion while 10.5 inch core vent zippers deliver amazing climate control.
A microfleece lining on the collar and chin guard complement the soft, brushed interior for next-to-skin comfort. A full-length reversed zipper, four external pockets, one internal pocket, drawcord hem, tapered sleeves, and adjustable Velcro cuffs round out the details for the Element Jacket.

C4E in moutain mimicry?!?!….I love it! Kendall, did you have something to do with that? How would you compare/contrast this jacket to one of the Sitka jackets?…..and which one?

Corey, in all honesty we did have something to do with it. We have worked with C4E with input on design, features, etc. It’s been really fun (and a boat load of work).
This jacket compares to the 90% jacket, straight up. Features differ, for example C4E went with core vents which are more practical and easier with a pack to utilize. On the pant as the extra item it’s like the 90% in fabric density, but that’s about it. Removable knee pads(external access), deep hand pockets, external cargo pockets, and a fit that is roomier than an athletic cut. I’ve tested the pant and jacket twice in the hills and a few guys have hunted in it and I really dig them.
I’ll be close to the forum to answer questions. Be sure to check the C4E site from the logo link on Camofire home page.
Here are two images from the photo shoot that I see didn’t make the grade on the C4E website so I’ll be vain and post them here
: (for comparison I’m 6’4″, 205 with a 35-36 waist and am wearing the Large jacket and XL-Tall pant. The pant is a hair baggy on me and the Large is snug so I’m right inbetween. Jacket is an athletic fit and XL is roomier and would be better for layering)

Kendal, how does the jacket compare to the apxg2 L4 gale jacket, and do the pants run true to size or are they a real athletic fit like the Sitka? Thanks for the input.

This deal has peaked my interest. I am about 5′-8″ and about 183 lbs and thick through the hips. Do you think the XL pants and jacket would fit me right? I would probably like to be able to run a little layering. What do you think on sizing? Thanks.

Excited to see the Mountain Mimicry pattern back, Kendall! Well done. The jacket looks awesome! Might we see some C4E pants in the near future???

Ok this stuff is the real deal!! I have been chomping at the bit for a couple weeks after seeing these bad boys live and in person. I pulled the trigger but didn’t see the Bennie or belt. I can’t wait to bust a big buck in this gear. Thanks Kendall you are the man thanks for the awesome gear.

Matt #1 – What is your waist size? The XL pants will be a solid 37 waist but ample in the thighs/hips. The Large may be too snug based on your description. Length could be a bit long, but most guys that have tried these have surprised me by saying they prefer the tall with boots.
Matt #2 – Pants are the extra item today, but check them out here – http://www.core4element.com/products/element-pant/ and the Swtichback pant is gonna be my new favorite for bow hunting. Expect it to arrive first bit of Aug. (just in the nick of time)

Brad – the beanie and belt will be automatically included in each order (Beanie with the Jacket, Belt with the pants). It was good to have you stop by, I only wish I could have been around when you were in the office the other day!

Kendall,
I’m a 32-33 inch waist and a 33 inch inseam. I’m worried the med. would be to snug in the case of layering but would the large be to baggy.

Jason – Sheesh, another guy on the fence with sizing. So my buddy tried on the Med pant and he’s a true 32 but wears a 34 in some brands (Arc Teryx) and a 32 in other brands (Sitka). He said the Med was initially snug but after a few moments he felt like it was perfect. Mind you he’s a very fit and athletically cut guy. The Large will be baggy with enough room to layer. Med may not allow much layering other than a thin merino layer.
Jason from way above (if it’s a differnent Jason) – the Russell L4 Gale is heavier for sure than the Element jacket. The pants are not oversized, but are not quite the slim (some guys say metro) fit of Sitka. Think cargo pant style fit on the Element pant, but not oversized or too “punk kid baggy pants” style. Guys have said they are just roomy enough without being saggy. Hope that helps.
I realize it’s a bit of a crap shoot but the size chart is as accurate as I can get it. Remember, Camofire will exchange and although you pay to ship it back to us we will cover it on the exchanged item going back out.

This is a sweet looking set! It sounds great and I am torn over whether to pull the trigger. I have the Russell L4 set and the Realtree Big Game set. They are both awesome, so logic says I don’t need this C4E set. My other C4E gear is top notch, so I know this set is probably rock solid. Oh man, decisions, decisions…

Kendall would this set be suitable for someone hunting in the northeast(ny/pa)? I do sit in a tree stand for a few hours and then will stalk around.

Pull the trigger Steve this C4 is awesome!! You know you can never have too much gear. At least that is what I tell my wife. The other day she called me a “Gear Whore” I told her thanks for the complement.. Ha ha just pull the trigger and you will be smiling come hunting season.

Kendall,
When you say this fabric is comparable to the sitka 90%, are you talking original 90%, or 90% lite?
Thanks.

Hi- as I’m new to the site, I’m not sure what “extra” item for the pant means. Can I buy both today?
Please excuse my stupidity.

Josh-yes, when you buy the jacket and “pull the trigger” the next webpage will give you a menu to select your size and buy the pants as the extra item, plus the shipping is only .99 cents for the extra item. Good luck!

Darren – I hunt northern VA much the same way. This set is great for the cool mornings and warm mid-days. With decent layering, you can take this into late Fall as well. I’d hike a stand in, sit and cool down for a few hours, then get out and scout if I hadn’t seen any movemnet.
Steve – do it, this will become your favorite set over Realtree, and it’s a different pattern from MOTS in Russell in a much better fit.

Wow this stuff looks great! I want to pull the trigger just for the shear principle of it. I love the vents on those pants! But I’ve got the sitka celcius setup, and would like something signifigantly lighter. When those switchback pants make an appearance, I’ll be all over them! I

I love this camo pattern….cannot for the life of me understand why Sitka d/c this awesome pattern. Now to the rest of it… Looks like a fine product judging from pics and materials listed.. Can’t wait to get my hands on it and try it out.
Hopefully Core4 will have more product consistency then Sitka gear.
As far as Sitka gear…. They have lost my business for good! Too many sizing issues and every single year the camo has changed….not for the good I might add.

Okay, more sizing questions…
I’m 6’2″ 235lbs, 36″ waist with a 32″ inseam (long torso). I wear XXL tops and XL bottoms in pretty much everything.
Looking at your sizing chart it looks like I would wear an XL top and XL bottom in these. That would seem to match up with the fact that you said you are wearing a L top and XL bottoms.
One thing I tell myself when second guessing buying something here on camofire is that you aren’t married to it. Try it out and if you like something else better then you can almost always sell it in the classifieds of a hunting forum for what you paid for it on camofire.
I’m going to pick up a set of these to try out.
