Description:
Whether you’re hunting high desert peaks or lush forests of the northwest, the extremely durable, breathable, and comfortable Element Jacket’s 2-way-stretch polyester double weave allows for an excellent fit (being slightly roomier in the shoulders for drawing back as well as the bottom for layering ease) while resisting wind, water and snow. Designed for the active hunter, the low profile fit offers full range of motion while 10.5 inch core vent zippers deliver amazing climate control.
A microfleece lining on the collar and chin guard complement the soft, brushed interior for next-to-skin comfort. A full-length reversed zipper, four external pockets, one internal pocket, drawcord hem, tapered sleeves, and adjustable Velcro cuffs round out the details for the Element Jacket.

Can anyone tell me how these pants compare to the Sitka 90% pants? Insulation, durability, and are they in the same weather catagory.

Paul – the Core4 jacket only comes in Mountain Mimicry but the Beanie, Assault shirt and Switchback pants come in AP. We’ve got them and the belt. Drop us a line at customer service at camofire dot com and we’ll get you set.

Just got back from my annual elk hunting trip to Wyoming and the Core4Element gear was awesome. Temperatures were in the upper 20′s in the mornings and climbed up to the mid 60′s in the afternoons. The first few mornings the brush was pretty wet, but the element pants worked great and although they did get wet, it didn’t seem to make it all the way through to my legs.
One thing I didn’t think of is that the thicker element pants were great for busting brush without putting the hurt on your shins too bad. I wore some Sitka Ascent pants on one evening hunt and the brush wasn’t near as bad as what we had been going through earlier and the Stika pants didn’t provide much protection for your legs.
We did end up with a nice bull on the ground, but my friend was quicker on the trigger than I was. Here’s a picture of me with his bull. Pretty nice bull for a general tag. We scored him right at 315″.

Let’s try the picture again.

His G1 on the right side was really cool with a drop down at the end and it was 19″ long.

I just wanted to say, that the whole CORE4 line is absolutely awesome. It outperforms my sitka gear hands down. I just got back from a mild weathered 30 degree F hunt in saskatchewan and would have no problem wearing the layering system to below freezing. The fabric is very quite and easy to move in. I will be recommending this camo to my hunters this fall. Here is my picture of my muzzleloader whitetail. Two things, I wish that they made a vest and I hope they will look into making an insulated version too.

Kendall,
I was told yesterday that you are the man to talk to. I was at Cabelas looking for some new camo and a gentlemen told me to email you about past deals or info on products coming up. I am in the market for all new gear. One last purchase before my daughter gets here. Please let me know what can be done or what needs to be done.
