Yo Kendall, I was a space cadet, last minute order and ordered the core4element element jacket in large in mountain mimicry. I meant to order it in max-1 (large). If you could so kindly switch it that would be great. I was planning on calling in the morning before my order went out but then I remember you were so kind to help me the other day late at night on the forum I figured I would give this a try. If you don’t see this till the morning, no worries I will give you guys a call. Thanks.

If you first choose the “Combined Shipping” option on your first order, then you can add anything else for the next 7 days for just $.99 shipping per item that you add to the combined order. Take a look at the Shipping Policy page for more details.

Thanks Kendall, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Core4. They look similar to the UA gloves I have used and abused for the last 2 and half years.

Tammie – sorry but the shirts are finally shipping today. We posted that they would ship on the 28th, but the printer messed up and had to source some new shirts to get our order correct. That and we needed more shirts to offer on New Years. You should see that your order has now shipped (via email) and it will arrive shortly. Thanks for the support!

It states “50% off” but the regular price is bumped up from $60 (on Core4element site) to $90 on Camofire. Is this a different shirt than the Assault 1/4 zip on the Core4element site? Thanks.

I was going to mention the same thing about the price of the CORE4ELEMENT ASSAULT MIDWEIGHT 1/4-ZIP SHIRT. It is 59.99 on core4element site. So 89.99 as the regular price seems like it was increased…Not a deal in my eyes. If it was truly 60 percent off, Id be buying…

I appreciate the “deals” and what Camofire offers, as it’s obvious other outdoorsmen do as well. I can also appreciate your marketing strategy. It works, and it’s a great idea, especially to market the Core4element products, which seem to be a value when compared to overpriced gear like Sitka. However, stating a certain percent off and then jacking up the regular price is like a slap in the face, to be honest. Yeah, a lot of us overpay for a ton of this gear, but it would be nice if the “regular price,” which is typically the MSRP, was actually accurate.

Wow, was thinking the forum had been kinda slow today and then saw 17 posts and thought “huh, wonder what became such a hot topic”.
Hey Andrew S – I think it’s a little disingenuous to make the character assumption you did on us with the slap in the face you think we gave you. But I’m going to assume you’re new here, (never ordered from us based on your email address) so I’ll turn the other cheek. If you knew me, and more so Camofire, you’d know well that we don’t jack up the price just to show a better deal, ever. Never done it, won’t ever do it. World is far too small, integrity is far too precious to put in peril for such trivial things. I could go into great detail about how we set the retail price, but I just highlighted that last week with a customer here on the forum so there’s a very detailed discussion about it you’re welcome to check out here: http://www.camofire.com/forum/hunting-deals/nikon-archers-choice-rangefinder-with-realtree-apg-case . From one Oregon hunter to another, please do a little searching around here before assuming we’re just out to take advantage of other hunters and friends. We’ve listed the Assault shirt 10+ times in 2012 and never had a firestorm like this because the pricing on Core4 has always been accurately reflected. You could search it and see. Anyway….
This pricing discussion caught me off guard, but then realized what you guys pointed out – that Core4Element had changed their pricing (as well as their marketing/sales strategy) on New Year’s Day going forward. I had been part of the talks that this might be happening, but hadn’t heard word that it was implemented. I’m sorry I wasn’t in the loop yesterday. Had I known, the retail price would have been adjusted.
Core4 had been positioned and progressing towards working with dealers (had tested it with a multi store/channel dealer in 2011 and 2012) over the past 2 years so the pricing listed on the Core4 website until New Years Day had always been “full retail”. They had been selling product at the full retail pricing the past few months as did the dealer in CO they had worked with.
When I get all the details put together, I’ll do a specific post here on the forum about the future of Core4, but here’s a little heads up.
When Core4 set out, we teamed up with Core4 to be the marketing/primary sales engine to help build the brand. We’ve posted a number of times on here about this and how we’ve helped with product testing, design input, etc. While Core4 will still be using Camofire for offering gear at killer prices, since working with the standard Dealers (Sportsman’s, Cabelas, etc) isn’t a future direction for Core4, the pricing was adjusted to be more inline with a true wholesale direct pricing. This will be the 2013 pricing and if anything it may come down a bit.
At the Camofire prices that we’ve sold gear, Core4 has been selling to Camofire at barely over their cost. This was by intention to help build the brand at prices that more than made sense.
As Core4 goes forward with the new direct to consumer prices, we’ll be offering a lot less Core4 gear here on Camofire once the 2012 gear is gone. Oh we will still have some of the 2013 gear, but not as often or plentiful as we’ve had it in the past. There are some really cool pieces in the works, and the solid go to pieces like the Element Jacket, pants, Switchback, etc will be getting some cool upgrades.
So yea, the Camofire prices won’t be as deeply discounted when compared to the new Core4 pricing, but as as we look to clear out the rest of the 2012 Core4 gear it’ll still be lower than the listed price on Core4Element.com.

C4E changed thier pricing with the new year and I am sure camofire bought the shirts at the old price. I could be wrong, but either way it is still cheaper from camofire then C4E. Just my .02

Hi Kendall,
Planning a hike-in elk hunt next year. Any plans to carry the Badlands 4500 or any of the larger Eberlestock packs?
Thanks!

Terry – yes, the 4500 will be on the site either late next week or the following. We don’t have many so I’d suggest not waiting if you can afford to pull the trigger sooner than later.

Clint, good point, and I’m not bashing Camofire, just making an observation. It’s a business, I understand. I’m one that appreciates buying decent hunting clothing and gear at reasonable prices. This is a great concept they have, the whole Camofire deal. Despite the obvious connection between Camofire, Black Ovis, and Core4element, I would still give them my business. I suppose you could say I’m merely stating that $45 for a polyester-based 1/4 zip hunting shirt is not much of a bargain, in my opinion.

Agree with above posts….get rid of the %-off and the retail price. They are rarely correct and with the internet, we can see for ourselves what the value is for you and me.
We know Camofire gives us great deals! The %-off and the “retail” price are not necessary.
Just a thought.
Take care,
-Mike

I find the details useful – especially when planning the day. Ultimately, I don’t have to buy anything, so if the final price isn’t to my liking, I don’t pull the trigger. But, the % off is handy for determining if the item is worth watching for at that price point. Especially if it has been listed before – you should be able to see what retail price was used for the calculation.
A number of times I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see that CamoFire is using a retail price that’s lower than other sites publish, so the deal is particularly appealing.
