Mountain Mimicry

Realtree Max 1

Description:
Whether you’re hunting high desert peaks or lush forests of the northwest, the extremely durable, breathable, and comfortable Element Jacket’s 2-way-stretch polyester double weave allows for an excellent fit (being slightly roomier in the shoulders for drawing back as well as the bottom for layering ease) while resisting wind, water and snow.
Designed for the active hunter, the low profile fit offers full range of motion while 10.5 inch core vent zippers deliver amazing climate control. A microfleece lining on the collar and chin guard complement the soft, brushed interior for next-to-skin comfort. A full-length reversed zipper, four external pockets, one internal pocket, drawcord hem, tapered sleeves, and adjustable Velcro cuffs round out the details for the Element Jacket.

Do you know if Core 4 Element has any plans on making more items in Realtree AP? I’d buy all of their stuff if they had it in AP.

What’s the lining of this jacket like? Is it fleece lined…like the old Sitka Celsius jacket, or is it more of a thinner makeup?

Josh, I do not have a celsius jacket so I cannot compare the liners but it is not fleece lined but is soft. Its relatively thin but is suprisingly warm but also breaths really well so you don’t bake either. I used mine the last two season during early archery for the cool mornings and late deer and it worked well in both senarios. Hope this helps.

Which color pattern would you recommend for an antelope hunt in WY, or an elk/Muley hunt anywhere out West. Is the MM more for Rocky terrain?

Clay I would go with the MM. It works well in a lot of different terrain.

I was wondering if the element pants coming up next would be two warm for temps in the 60′s.

Any chance you’ll have the element pant in MM size 32T? Seems this is a popular size as there are none available in any pattern. Thanks.

Hi Kendall,
Is the Core4element ever going to make the jacket in AP pattern? Can they put that in for next year?
thanks,
Doug

I am trying to decide on M vs L for the Pivot. My chest size is right at 42 and dont want it too big in case I wear it under another shirt… Any advice?

I have a 44 inch chest and I have an XL pivot shirt. It fits loose but it doesn’t swallow me. Served very well as a main shirt when the temps were up into the 70′s, allowed room for a terramar (L3?) base and then some when the temps were in the 30′s. I’m 6’3″ and weigh 220. I am thinking you should go with a L for a comfortable fit. I don’t like tight shirts that ride up. I like a roomy shirt that moves with me. Hope that helps, Norbert. The pivot is like hunting in pajamas… love that shirt! (MAKE CERTAIN YOU ZIP IT UP BEFORE WASHING or you will be doing some zipper repair.) I added a few whip stitches to the base of the zipper to reinforce it and limit it’s movement a 1/4 inch above the bottom teeth.

I ordered the pivot shirt, switch back pant, and element jacket in MM pattern…VERY pleased with the quality..BUT BEWARE they run small..I wear a 32-33 inch waist..I got the 34T and they fit like a 32 (which is fine for me) also plenty long enough and I have a real long inseam…The jacket is light weight, yet thick enough to take the wind and rain off you..and rolls up for a compact store away….well worth the $$$ IMO…comparable to sitka brand in quality for sure

Do you know if you will have the Element jacket and pants or the switchback pants anytime soon? I just discovered this website, and would love to add them to my combo order! Thanks.

Have you guys had problems with the zippers on the core4 line? My zipper on the pocket of element jacket and mid mountain vest both will not open. I love the stuff other than that.
