First off thank you for the quick reply on the switchback pants now i have another question in regaurds to the C4E vests how much do they vary as far as packablity and over all warmth?

They are quite packable, and I think they are too warm if you’re hiking a lot in weather that is warmer than about 40 degrees. If you’re just sitting, they’re great up until around 65 degrees if there is a cool wind. Essentially they are the Element Jacket without the sleeves and a slightly lower collar.
