Description:
Walking through thick brush with nasty stickers and who knows what else can put a damper on any day in the mountains. Heck, a day of upland hunting no matter where you are can be punishing on boots, ankles and the lower portion of your pants. Jim Shockey worked with Blacks Creek to create a bomber pair of gaiters to protect your lower legs and keep you moving no matter how punishing the bush is.
Made from very tough cordura that’s wind and waterproof along with high quality adjusting straps on the bottom and top to cinch things down and you’re set. If you do any winter hunting, these are the perfect protection to keep dry and free from snow when you’re walking to your tree stand. The large size will fit most feet from size 8 or larger, thanks to the adjustable straps. Never fear another patch of sticker bushes or burrs as you focus on the hunt.

I bought a pair of these last year from my local hunting shop. I find them very tight and if you have large calves you won’t like them. Even just over my jeans these are tight. Also, they won’t fit over winter boots, and or you’re wearing thick wool pants like mine from Columbia, these gaitors won’t fit over them. So if you plan on using them in an early winter hunt (I always wear gaitors in snow) don’t buy these ones. I don’t think they even make different sizes?
Side note- I don’t think I’ve ever seen wool pants on here…do you think we could get something like the Columbia wool pants sometime?

Ryan – thanks for the straight up feedback. I had them on over my Sitka Ascent and 90% pants with Scentblocker boots and they were a snug fit – I wear a size 12 boot.
Sorry, no wool pants just yet. We’ll see if Columbia will dance with Camofire.

These are tough as nails but don’t breathe at all. I used them for two days pheasant hunting and they were great but each day i took them off the inside was wet to the point my jeans got wet. They may be better in very cold temps??
