To the Greg form VA, agreed. I bought this from Camofire because of that reason. I’m pretty sure that 5 dollar shipping deal from Cabela’s excludes heavy packages I’m not sure if there is a weight limit and frankly I don’t care. But on another note, I am new to bow hunting and tree stand hunting in general. This Stand was what I was expecting to pay for my first stand. Does anyone have any opinions on it? Is it pretty easy to install?

I’ve got two of the lesser versions from Ameristep with smaller seats. I haven’t been disappointed with the line, they are Ok for the price. They are not a Lone Wolf, but I don’t worry as much about leaving these in the woods. I’m 230-240 with gear and feel secure on the platform. I like the arms for mounting gear holders, but you may find that the arms will get in the way of your draw on shots to the side. The seat looks “quiet”, a big deal when you have to stand and draw without spooking game. The stand is easy to strap-on, but we all struggle with the first time hanging it in a tree. It’s clumsy task, just be tied secure to your tree when you first put one up. Some hunters add a second strap to the tree trunk for more security, it’s a good idea, Home Depot type stores have them cheap. Good luck with your hunts!
