I bought one of these for a canoe seat last year from Big Lots. It fell apart in quick order. Probably lasted 3 trips before the canvas tore apart at the seams. I called Alps and they wouldn’t do anything for me because it was on closeout at an outlet store. Hate seeing this low-end stuff on CamoFire. I’m curious what premium Alps product (haha, I know) Black Ovis will get to sell for carrying these duds. I don’t think anyone that spends real money here would care too much if the Alps relationship was ended.

ernest, i’m with you. this alps stuff has been garbage. those sleeping bags, woah nelly! i’d rather hike in with grandma’s quilt then use one of those sleeping bags. i wish there were 24/7 arcteryx, sitka, montbell, feathered friends, kifaru, mammut, henry shires, …etc, etc, etc….but, it obviously can’t be that way. wish it was though! i must say though, these past 2-3 weeks, this site hasn’t been the same. whether it’s questions getting answered, website updates, quality of items, etc, etc…there has been a noticeable, sharp decline across the board: quality and service. hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

I’ve been checking the site at midnight the last 3 mornings hoping to get some arrows. I hear the “image gal” is holding things up, why not just post up a cell phone pic or the specs and let’s get on with it.

Personally I think the crew over at Camofire has exceeded our expectations by the level of one on one that they exhibit specifically Kendall.
You can’t expect that every item that they put on the site is going to be a premium product.
Just try to address one specific person at any other website and see if they reply to directly via email or phone?
I am personally glad this site was created and glad I found it because i have gotten into some hunting gear that i would normally not be able to purchase otherwise.
If I have to wait a little bit for a response………its worth it.

hmmm…great suggestion. When we’ve not shown “pure hunting stuff” we get gas from a few folks out there about “stick to the hunting gear, let other sits sell blah, blah, blah” but I really like the idea of some hydropacks. Suggestion noted and I’ll do some homework.

I asked for some tents about a year ago and Kendall told me thats what steep and cheaOp was for. Now the tune is changed. I think the real story here is that the qaulity gear in the inventory is getting to be slim pickings. im about to call for an investigation! I think China is product dumping ALPS gear on Camofire!
